💥 A Major Milestone for EndoSound: First-in-Human Use of SideKick™! 💥 We are thrilled to announce the successful first clinical use of EndoSound's second generation disposable, the SideKick™, marking a significant advancement in our mission to expand access to Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). The procedure was safely performed in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) on a patient presenting with a 3 cm subepithelial lesion, utilizing SideKick for EUS-guided fine needle aspiration/biopsy (FNA/B). This milestone officially completes our Generation 2 EndoSound Vision System (EVS®) offering, providing physicians with two distinct solutions: ✅ SideBeam™ for Imaging Only: A streamlined solution designed to expand access to diagnostic EUS imaging. ✅SideKick™ for EUS with FNA/B : An interventional solution enabling EUS-guided tissue acquisition and expanding the clinical capabilities of the EVS platform. "My experience with the Sidekick exceeded my expectations. I am excited that we can now offer EUS with FNA/B to our patients in the ASC. The image quality was excellent, and the EVS performed exactly as intended. The differences between the EVS and the traditional EUS system I use in the hospital were negligible. I look forward to expanding the number of patients we treat in our ASC, where we can deliver high-quality care at a lower overall cost to patients while improving efficiency for my practice." — Dr. Norman Clark, North CarolinaWhat makes this achievement particularly meaningful is not just the successful first-in-human use of SideKick, but where it happened: in an ASC.For too long, access to EUS has been limited by the cost, complexity, and infrastructure associated with traditional EUS platforms. EndoSound is working to change that paradigm by making EUS technology more accessible, affordable, and adaptable to existing endoscopy environments. With both Gen 2 disposables now reaching clinical use, we are taking another important step toward bringing advanced EUS capabilities to more physicians, more facilities, and ultimately, more patients.
