We know it’s been a little quiet from the Olia team lately. The reason? We’ve been heads-down working toward production.Over the past several weeks, we’ve been focused on the details that matter most, continuing to fine-tune the Olia formulation, working through production considerations, and getting closer to a product we’re truly proud to put into consumers’ hands. We’re still finalizing the formulation, but we’re very close. Our focus remains on finding that right balance between exceptional taste, refreshment, and the functional benefits that make Olia unique. We’ll have more to share as we move closer to production. The Olive Industry Is EvolvingIn the meantime, we came across some fascinating research that caught our attention. Our friend Itala Marx recently shared research looking at agrivoltaics in olive groves, the integration of solar panels with olive cultivation. The concept is particularly interesting because it goes beyond simply generating renewable energy. Researchers are also exploring how changes in light, temperature, and water availability may affect olive production and even the composition of the resulting olive oil.It raises an important question for the broader olive industry: as we innovate how olives are grown, what else might change about the nutritional and functional characteristics we value in the olive? For a company like Olia, built around the potential of the olive leaf, these developments are especially interesting to follow. We’re grateful to Itala for sharing the research and wanted to pass it along to our investor community:Study: Agrivoltaics research studySource: Original source / articleWe’re excited about where the olive industry is headed and even more excited about where Olia is headed. We’re getting close. More updates soon as we move toward production.(Photo Credit: Itala Marx)
