I wanted to take a moment to welcome our new followers and investors, and share more about our origin story in case this is new to you. I'm Andrei Evulet, Co-Founder, CEO, and CTO, and building airplanes is something I've wanted to do since I was a kid.My childhood dream first came true when I landed a role at GE as an aerospace engineer. I worked my way up to lead technology integration on the GE9X, the world's largest turbofan engine. While there, I noticed something the rest of the industry seemed to have missed: bolting a propulsion system onto an existing airframe as one, more integrated system could lead to an entirely new kind of aircraft.I finally put this idea into action in 2015, moved by the devastation caused by an earthquake in Kathmandu. Roads and runways were gone, mountain winds grounded most aircraft, and people stranded on hillsides had no way to get help. Watching that happen convinced me the world needed a fundamentally different way to fly, and that I needed to act, a resolution that has only been strengthened by every natural disaster since. So that year, I co-founded Jetoptera with Denis Dancanet and Simina Farcasiu. The three of us had grown up in Romania and later left to build new lives in the U.S. Our background shaped how we approached the problem: assume it's solvable, then figure out how. We built our first test stand using a rented compressor in my garage. What came out of that garage is the Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®), a way of moving aircraft through amplified air jets instead of spinning blades. No rotor, no propeller, and none of the noise, exposed hazards, or maintenance load that come with them. The name Jetoptera comes from jet and pteron, the Greek word for wing. It's a fitting name, since the Fluidic Propulsive System moves air over the wing in a way no propeller or rotor has before. Now the propulsor works more integrated with the wings. From the humble beginnings in my garage, here is how far we've come:✈️ Pre-orders open for 5 types of FPS-powered aircraft, with first commercialization targeting 2027⚙️ 189+ granted patents💰 $22M invested in R&D, $6.1M+ in revenue to date🛡️ Seven U.S. military contracts, backed by SOCOM and AFSOC sponsorship🚀 2,900+ investors backing usWe’re incredibly grateful to this community for being part of our story too.
