I'm excited to introduce the newest aircraft in our J-Series lineup: the J-900 AG STOVL. The response to our pre-order waitlist has shown strong demand for the agricultural segment, and this new aircraft extends that opportunity to higher-capacity operations.Built on the adaptive Fluidic Propulsive System® (FPS®), the J-900 AG carries nearly double the J-600 AG's capacity. This drone is also our first Short Takeoff, Vertical Landing (STOVL) aircraft, which means it can lift off using a very short ground roll, under 100 feet, and land straight down like a helicopter once the hopper is empty. That super short takeoff is possible because we mount the FPS thrusters on top of the wing, so their augmented jet exhaust flows directly over the flaps and adds extra lift and thrust.As a result, the J-900 AG can cover more acres per load than a zero-ground-roll aircraft, while still being able to take off right at the side of a field. This capability complements the J-600 AG, a Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) drone with a lower payload, giving operators a choice based on what their fields require.J-900 AG specs:🌾 85-gallon hopper, 700 lb maximum payload (vs. 50 gallons and 400 lb on the J-600 AG)🌱 Up to 30 acres per load in under 10 minutes, or about 23 football fields (vs. 16 acres in under five minutes on the J-600 AG)⚡ 100 mph working speed, comparable to a manned ag plane🛫 Takeoff roll under 100 feet fully loaded, vertical landing once empty🔊 ~40 dBa quieter than a bladed system of equivalent powerA market study prepared for us sizes the spraying, spreading, and seeding segment of the agricultural drone market at up to $3B today, projected to reach a potential $10B by 2030.
