As interest in pre-ordering our aircraft builds, I wanted to highlight the first two passenger aircraft launching from our roadmap: the two-seat J-2000 and the four-seat J-4000.Both aircraft cover up to 400 miles per flight and are built for the regional trips that are impractical for a helicopter and time intensive for a car. Think a weekend flight from DC to the Hamptons, a recreational flight over a national park on a Sunday morning, or an air taxi route between central LA and downtown San Francisco.The J-2000 and J-4000 fly on the same Fluidic Propulsive System®️ (FPS®️) that already powers our J-110 and J-600 AG drones. FPS replaces spinning rotors with directed airflow through thrusters that swivel to shift the aircraft from a vertical climb into forward flight. The lack of blades and moving parts gives these aircraft several advantages: Quieter than helicopters Simpler mechanics Increased take off and landing zone possibilities Our J-Series passenger craft win on speed as well. They both cruise at 150 knots and top out at 200. For comparison, popular two-seat and four-seat helicopters in the same training and utility markets cruise at around 100 knots.Both aircraft also use a box-wing airframe, a closed-loop wing shape instead of a single wing extending straight out. This enables a lighter, stronger airframe that flies farther on the same amount of fuel, without needing the long wingspan of a typical small aircraft.Concerning certification, the FAA's MOSAIC rule recently opened a Special-Light Sport Aircraft path for powered-lift aircraft. We believe that path would let the J-2000 aircraft fly under a sport pilot certificate, a lighter certification track than a traditional aircraft requires. Currently this certification limits flights to two occupants including a pilot.We are targeting first delivery of the J-2000 in 2028 and the J-4000 in 2029.
