Right now, one of the largest wildfires in recent French history is burning near Bordeaux. On the frontlines is our own Site and Workshop Manager, Jean Fauchet. Thousands have been evacuated in what Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu called a disaster that has "reached a level that has never been seen before." When France put out a national call for reinforcements, Jean didn't hesitate. For the past week, he has been on the ground with civil protection volunteers, evacuating residents, setting up medical posts, and running rescue missions.For five years, Jean has been the reason our science and mechanical teams run experiments securely, keeping our facility running like clockwork. Now he's applying that same steady mission-oriented dedication to directly fight the deadly fires facing France.At Airthium, we fight the root cause of climate change every day, building technology that eliminates carbon emissions from industrial heat. Jean is putting his life on the line to fight the symptoms. Same mission, two frontlines.
