Hi everyone,Today, I want to walk you through our patent strategy in more detail, because it's one of the reasons I'm excited about where Emission Free Generators is headed, and it's an area of the business where we have made substantial progress.I have spent over three decades inventing and commercializing products across mechanical, electrical, and chemical disciplines, and I am a named inventor on 28 patents and patent applications with three successful exits behind me. That experience shaped how carefully we structured the patent portfolio around this technology from the start.We currently have four pending U.S. patent applications and two pending European patent applications, pursuing layered protection across the ZenH2 platform. Here's what each area covers:1. Hydrogen-generating proprietary fuel compositionOur applications in this category covers the unique powdered fuel composition that generates hydrogen on demand, along with methods for preparing and packaging it. This is the core chemistry, designed to avoid storing hydrogen as a compressed gas and to simplify storage, handling, and distribution.2. Hydrogen-on-demand processOur applications in this category cover the process that generates hydrogen when our proprietary fuel comes into contact with water, including how water delivery to the reactor is regulated, how hydrogen is supplied to the fuel cell, and how the fuel-cell system is controlled. Producing hydrogen only when it's needed, rather than storing it as compressed gas ahead of time, is what makes hydrogen power practical for everyday consumer use.3. Fuel-packet and cartridge systemOur applications in this category cover the fuel packets and cartridge structures that hold the powdered composition, allow controlled introduction of water, release the generated hydrogen, and support storage, handling, and replacement. The multi-use design is part of what allows the same delivery format to extend across the different use cases in our product roadmap.4. Portable generator architecture and controlsThe applications in this category cover the portable generator itself, the integration of the water vessel, hydrogen-generation reactor, fuel cell, electrical controls, and fuel-cell purging into one system, along with how the generator operates to deliver on-demand electricity optimized for performance, safety, and scalability.Why this matters beyond the current productOur portfolio is structured to pursue patent protection at multiple levels, including the fuel composition, fuel packets and cartridge structures, hydrogen-generation and operating methods, and integrated generator systems and controls. This layered strategy is intended to support the initial ZENH2 product while preserving opportunities to apply portions of the underlying technology in additional products and markets. We are starting with ZENH2 for consumer and small-business use, with future product phases intended for disaster relief and larger-scale enterprise applications.Where things standAll six applications remain active. Part of our portfolio, covering the generator itself and the fuel packet composition, has already cleared a meaningful hurdle: the USPTO has signaled those claims are allowable, meaning the examiner has approved them ahead of formal issuance. The remaining applications are still under review.
