In a landmark case, a 21-year-old autistic young adult who had never been able to smile because of neuromuscular coordination challenges smiled for the first time. This is a remarkable milestone that we would like to share with all of you.Below is a direct comment from his parent:“Over the past 20 years, I have worked tirelessly with my son. Throughout this journey, I have always known that he had very limited activation of the muscles involved in smiling. I supported him through passive exercises, facial massage, and many other techniques. I also used rewards such as social praise, favorite foods, and toys to encourage him. While these approaches helped to some extent, they never truly inspired him to activate those muscles independently.Everything changed when we started using the JOGO device. For the first time, I could clearly see his facial muscles participating actively rather than relying solely on passive assistance. It was an incredibly emotional, joyful, and unforgettable moment. As a parent, seeing something I had hoped for over two decades finally begin to happen was beyond exciting. The visual graph provides him with immediate feedback, and I believe that is the key. It empowers him to recognize his own movements and motivates him to improve independently. Instead of depending only on my prompts, he is now inspired by his own progress. Watching him take ownership of his movements is something I have dreamed of and prayed for over many years. You have developed more than just technology—you have created a tool that inspires children and young adults to participate actively, build confidence, and discover abilities they may not have known they possessed.Every small milestone is a tremendous victory for our family. We are incredibly grateful, deeply hopeful, and genuinely excited to continue this journey. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones together!”Thank you to our investors for helping make stories like this possible. We now have more than 25,000 patient stories demonstrating the meaningful impact of JOGO.
