A revised pitch deck for Seadog Travels is now available for viewing. Please contact me with any questions. Through the past several years working on this effort, a few realities about the travel industry have become very clear to me.First, the travel industry is one of the most "Wild West", unregulated, and unstructured industries in existence. This is both good and bad, but the demise of the storefront travel agency has had many negative impacts on the industry and has made the path to success in the industry more difficult.Second, the industry has not changed since the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Seadog Travels is an effort to help the industry to evolve - to be an instrument that not only helps people travel, but also does more. This is because the travel industry must become leading advocates for smart stewardship of the planet. The environmental crisis is real and this must be acknowledged.Third, my idea to reinvigorate the travel agency storefront and experience could serve as a model around the country and around the world, if devised, implemented, and executed smartly. Rather than succumb to the doom and gloom of the state of the world today, we need to be optimistic, forward-thinking, and bold in fostering a better world for all.
