AllSides has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, formerly Carnegie Corporation of New York. With it, we are building a media literacy program and platform for schools across the nation, and adding a media literacy layer to our balanced information platform for all of our customers. More critical thinking for everyone!Teachers in all 50 states already use AllSides tools and services to teach media literacy and current events. Soon they will have an even more powerful set of tools that help students easily learn media literacy as part of their news reading habits. This is just another example of the momentum AllSides is having as we grow and enter new markets. Our technologies and expertise built over the years are now opening us to major deals not only in news media, but education, research, corporate communications and organizational development, civic deliberation and engagement. This idea was met with a warm welcome by educators and Civic Education Leaders at the recent Civic Learning Week Forum in Philadelphia, PA who were eager to learn more and share with their networks. We just opened applications for the pilot program last week, and applications from educators are rolling in. (Educators can learn more and sign up for the pilot here)What’s especially meaningful is seeing how many of our investors are educators using AllSides to teach news literacy. Here’s what some of them have to say:"I'm a history teacher (20+ years) and I am incensed about the misinformation that is bombarding my students constantly through their social media sites. I am always looking for information to share that can be verified and credible. Seeing Allsides gives me hope that we can come out of this ridiculous age of disinformation and misinformation. I want to be a part of the solution. I want us to have better tools and I believe Allsides will be a pivotal part of fixing what is broken. I am also very intrigued about using Allsides as a teaching tool. I'm excited!" Emily, TN"AllSides is one of the best tools I have to teach my students about both bias and current events." Katherine, NM"I teach AP Government and Politics, and this is an app I make all my students download! I value this as an educator and as a consumer of news. AllSides is the best." Alisa, WI"I've used All Sides as a high school teacher in my classroom for years and it has been such an effective teaching tool and discussion starter. I believe in what you are doing!!" Georgiana, COWe are so grateful for the trust educators have put into AllSides — first in their classrooms, and now in their investment portfolios.Thank you to everyone that has invested in AllSides so far — your early support has helped sustain AllSides for Schools free resources for educators.Don’t forget: we close this round in two weeks — now is your last chance to invest with early bird terms. Thanks for supporting us and our mission!— John GableCEO & Co-found of AllSides Technologies, Inc
