We are moving beyond the "Heroic Founder" myth.There is a belief that we should hype up the lone genius founder. But at Changemaker Education, we bet on systems of support and transformative community.Joy Meserve and I co-create with founders using principles from Laloux’s Reinventing Organizations. We’ve found that the traditional 1930s command and control management model of relentless, machine like execution leads to burnout. Instead, we provide a Teal framework for growth.The founder's vision is the spark. We unleash the creativity of each founder because the vision is to shift the education paradigm. To get out of the box and co-create new ways to reimagine school. We move from the vision and then provide the emotional and strategic support that gives founders the stamina to stay in the game.We execute and implement disciplined feedback loops. This ensures that the vision is executed with agility and rigor, rather than rigid, outdated ways of operating.
