It is so hard for aspiring musicians to cultivate and grow their audiences. It’s not just about creating great music anymore; it’s managing multiple platforms, constantly posting, engaging, promoting… all while trying to stay creative. We recently heard from an investor who toured with a very popular band. He said it was almost heartbreaking to watch how much time they had to spend on social media before and after gigs just trying to grow their fan base.So his question to us was simple:Is Rayrok just another platform to manage? If so, we knew we’d face real resistance from artists who are already stretched thin. From day one, Rayrok has had a laser focus on being truly artist-friendly, not just appreciating artists, but actually making life easier for them. We’ve talked about how discovery is easier on Rayrok, and how our backstage pass features deepen connection between artists and fans. But it doesn’t stop there. We’ve built a much simpler way for artists to grow, connect, sell merch and tickets… and, most importantly, earn more from their music itself.Platforms like Spotify are built for scale and passive listening, which is great for listeners, but it often leaves artists competing for attention in an algorithm while seeing very little return from their streams.Right now, many artists feel like they have to be on platforms like Spotify… but wish there were a better way. We believe there is. We’ve been quietly building it.We call it the music discovery economy. We’ll share more soon.
