First week of production of RECKLESS SPIRITS is down, leaving us 15 more days of filming! (20 days total, with weekends off).We have been doing some rituals and intentional activities which also include team-building, to a degree.Thursday morning began with a little GRATITUDE RITUAL which INCLUDED BOUNCING A BASKETBALL because I was kind of in a sour mood (not necessarily much to do with the production), and Producer Lisa van Dam-Bates told me that me being down was probably when we most needed to do this kinda thing -- because I am not necessarily bringing good vibes. Makes sense. It did help in that sense. I did feel better and more open to continuing the long day afterwards. Especially after a lil good group cry and a lil tear shed nearby in a church ;P(What can I say. My Cancer Moon is strong and is emo AF sometimes.)Many other things were also learned on the project. Needing to adapt to last-minute staff changes due to health things, trying to understand how to deal with certain cultural things (not just between the U.S. and Mexico, but also between Oaxaca and Mexico City), wondering how to move schedules around to make late days possible despite long makeup and wardrobe changes... all these many things. Many, many things.It feels un-real but also very, very clear that the decision to film this project in Oaxaca was the right one.Our team is incredible: such good vibes, so knowledgeable, so adaptable, so open to contributing and bringing some real parts of themselves. Feeling blessed by the way things are turning out, and the fact that how the film is grows by leaps and bounds once it is in the process of coming to life.Making a weird movie but yes it very much has its own spirit, and I will continue to say that it is definitely probably going to be like nothing you have ever seen :P💕 We are still fundraising!!!
