As the year comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the progress made by the Hempitecture team in advancing more sustainable, healthy solutions into the market. This year was a building block year: we have put together pieces of the puzzle that will build an even stronger Hempitecture for the future. Through identifying our biggest challenges, we have developed solutions that will expand the market potential of our materials. This was made possible by everyone who touches Hempitecture: a special thanks to our team, both on the office side and manufacturing operations side, our Board Members & Advisors, and our Investors. Additionally, We would not be where we are today without the support of other groups, like NYSERDA, the JLL Foundation, and more.Here are our reflections and top moments of 2025:Completing a Successful Community Investment RoundIn 2025, Hempitecture successfully closed a community investment round on Wefunder in April of 2025. This round brought hundreds of aligned investors into the business. The capital injected into the business strengthened our balance sheet, allowed us to invest in assets, while reinforcing that Hempitecture’s mission resonates with builders, homeowners, and retail investors.Why it matters: Community capital validated demand, expanded our ambassador base, and allowed us to build a new manufacturing process that will open doors to new markets beyond residential construction.Integrating AI into Core Operations2025 marked the first year Hempitecture meaningfully integrated AI into day-to-day operations. In doing so, we're improving customer experience, accelerating fulfillment times, and strengthening inventory management across a growing SKU set. The knowledge that this AI agent brings to customers helps Hempitecture maintain a light team, while providing high service and detailed information to current and prospective customers.Why it matters: These tools allowed a lean team to operate with the sophistication of a much larger organization, improving responsiveness and operational efficiency while setting a foundation for scalable growth.Securing Support from the JLL FoundationReceiving catalytic financing from the JLL Foundation was a pivotal, exciting moment for the Hempitecture team. This zero interest loan directly supported, and will continue to support, operational efficiency improvements, throughput gains, and product diversification initiatives. Why it matters: This capital demonstrated confidence from a globally respected real-estate institution foundation in Hempitecture, while allowing us to continually unlock what matters: better products, produced more efficiently, that solve built environment challenges.Commissioning the Fiber Fortification LineIn 2025, Hempitecture completed the build-out and commissioning of a new processing line dedicated to fortifying natural fibers for enhanced fire resistance, durability, and performance. This system is now a cornerstone of our manufacturing platform. After a period of installation, commissioning, and fine tuning, the fiber fortification line will give Hempitecture a further differentiated edge, that makes out products stand out from the rest, while providing performance specifications that are required in markets beyond residential.Why it matters: The fiber fortification line transforms Hempitecture from a niche product manufacturer into a highly scalable materials platform: unlocking multiple product categories and future applications from a value-adding manufacturing processRevenue Diversification and Future Product PipelineHempitecture grew toll-manufacturing revenue by approximately 75% in 2025 while simultaneously advancing several new products toward market launch in 2026, including PlantPanel, Fiber Pad, and HempWool PLUS. Customers should expect to see updated data and announcements about the advancements made with our product catalogue in Q1 of 2026.Why it matters: Our dual focus on building product manufacturing coupled with toll manufacturing enables both recurring revenue opportunities alongside continued disciplined product development. By diversifying our business, we’re enhancing our financial maturity and growing pathways to expanding addressable markets without overextending the business.Environmental Product Declaration in Final StagesIn 2025, Hempitecture completed an additional Life Cycle Analysis for it’s HempWool batt insulation product, and advanced this LCA into the draft of an Environmental Product Declartion (EPD). This Environmental Product Declaration is in the final stages, currently being reviewed and audited by a 3rd party Verifier. This EPD is essential in quantifying embodied carbon, stored biogenic carbon, and lifecycle impacts.Why it matters: A finalized EPD positions Hempitecture for broader specification in commercial, institutional, and public-sector projects, where verified environmental transparency is increasingly required.
