We’ve been waiting to send you this update because we kept expecting important and official news to share. Until documents are fully reviewed and signed, we can’t make any formal announcements. That said, there is lots of good newsOur StartEngine offering is now approaching $800,000. With the funds raised so far, we’ve been able to:Complete payment for our order of two driveshafts and bearing housings from Tech-Max Machine in Illinois. These components have the longest lead times and are now on track for delivery to the test site at the end of May. They will arrive with Schaeffler bearings already installed, so the pre-assembled units can be lifted directly into the top of the tower when they get to the site.Keep the consultants helping us with project development in St. Croix (e.g. leasing, permitting, and legal documents) doing the work needed to prepare our projects there for financing and installations.Order and pay for four sets of anemometers and met masts for four different installations. We’ll share updates on each site as the equipment is installed and data starts coming in. That wind-speed data will be a key part of securing project financing.Pay off several major loans that kept us going while we prepared and launched this crowdfunding raise.Hire two talented people, Jake Weatherman (part-time) and Leon Hu (full-time), to step in for Jen Hoover and cover additional work. Jen had to step back from work as she has a serious case of long COVID. We also brought on DeKristie Adams part-time to support major investor relations. For more great news and information we’ve been sharing with investors and potential investors, take a look at our Updates section on our Start Engine campaign page. A particularly interesting post focuses on successful renewable energy companies like ours that spent, sometimes decades and hundreds of millions, to get to the end of the commercialization process, where Wind Harvest is now.We are making progress on projects that aim to purchase 5 to 15+ MW (100 to 300) of Wind Harvesters® in 2026–27. This could represent significant revenue, and with Investment Tax Credits covering 40–50% of project costs, we believe we should achieve a healthy profit margin on the sales. On the financial side, Tom Williams, Ola, and I have finished updating Wind Harvest’s financial projections and tying everything back to our audited and updated financials. StartEngine says the SEC doesn’t allow pre-revenue startups like ours to share projections publicly, but we’re happy to send them to you directly if you email me.You can help us by sharing information about our StartEngine raise with others who would like to see our vision realized: VAWTs operating in the understories of hundreds of wind farms and in other exceptionally windy places where traditional turbines can’t go.
