Hello everyone,I am Nicolas Verderosa, founder and CEO of Ruralis. Ruralis was born in 2022 in the mountains of Southern Italy.After completing my studies in Business Economics and working in New York City, I decided to return to a place where the startup ecosystem did not really exist. Life is only once, and supporting rural areas means building a more equal world with fewer disadvantages. Every business should solve problems, and the more problems it solves, the more it grows. In rural regions there is no shortage of challenges. In the United States, about 97% of the land is rural, with about 66 million people living there, yet these areas are often left behind. I realized that bringing innovation there could create a bigger impact than building another skyscraper.Ruralis started from a simple real demand. A property owner needed help renting his house. He and his wife tried using Airbnb but did not have the time or knowledge to manage it. I stepped in and helped, and that is how Ruralis began.Today, Ruralis helps more than 430 property owners access the short term rental market with ease. We list on Airbnb, Booking.com, and more than one hundred other platforms. We handle pricing, communication, taxes, payments, and insurance. In short, we make property management simple and accessible.What is special is that Ruralis started with zero euro and no external funding. Yet we have become one of the fastest growing companies in the Italian startup ecosystem and one of the few that is truly independent from venture capital. Venture capital often means giving up control. Our vision is different. We are creating a bottom up system that empowers individuals, not only the already wealthy. We want to empower small investors and avoid concentrating value only in those who already have it.Our results speak for themselves.Each year we have tripled our growth, and this year we generated 2.5 million euro in revenue. Next year we plan to triple again.We now have more than 170 investors, and by the end of the year we aim for 200.Looking ahead, our goal is clear.We will keep expanding our investor community and reach an IPO by 2030. Not to go public and go down, but to go public and go up.
