Hey All! Make sure you check your emails for the latest distribution and statement for MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE. All disbursements should have been processed and should have reached your Wefunder accounts by now.For those interested in a detailed breakdown, we also sent a link to the detailed statement. This round primarily includes revenue from our domestic gross corridor, tied to the theatrical release. The distributor, Briarcliff, is still in the process of recouping marketing expenses, so we haven’t yet begun to see full backend participation and likely won’t for a bit. This statement also does not yet include VOD and streaming revenues, which performed well and should begin appearing in upcoming statements once marketing costs have been fully recouped. We’ve shared before that we’re not entirely satisfied with the level of marketing spend Briarcliff charged against the film, nor with how effectively those funds were deployed. That said, we remain confident in the film’s long-term potential and continue working to maximize its performance over time.On the SVOD (Subscription Video on Demand) front, Briarcliff recently licensed the film to Zeus Network, a newer streaming platform that aggressively pursued MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE and ultimately outbid the more established services. While we can’t share deal specifics, we can confirm that the offer was financially strong. And since Zeus is still relatively small, especially compared to players like Netflix, its availability there should not negatively impact ongoing transactional (rental and purchase) revenue. To be clear, Legion M wasn’t consulted in advance on this deal, though after learning about it we engaged with Briarcliff to explore alternatives. In the end, this was the best financial outcome available, and we supported it. It’s been a bit of a bumpy ride with Briarcliff overall, but we’re continuing to collaborate in good faith to ensure the best long-term results for the film. We don’t have much to report yet on the international release, though we’ve been hearing and seeing reports of the film releasing in several countries around the world and showing up on multiple airlines. It’s exciting to see MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE continuing to reach new audiences globally, and we expect to have more concrete details once Universal’s international reporting starts in the coming months. You may also notice that this distribution is smaller than in prior rounds. That’s partly because the CAMA (Freeway) was required to pay a few industry guilds, including SAG-AFTRA and IATSE, for residuals and benefit contributions tied to the film’s release. These payments are standard obligations in the industry, ensuring that cast and crew receive ongoing compensation as the film continues to earn revenue. In addition, a portion of funds was held in reserve to cover future guild and residual obligations, which is standard practice in film accounting. Meanwhile, positive press for MY DEAD FRIEND ZOE continues to roll in, along with heartfelt messages from veterans and audiences around the country. Briarcliff has submitted the film for major awards consideration, and we’re planning a renewed promotional push around Veterans Day, including potential screenings that we’ll share more about soon. While this distribution is modest compared to the last two, it all adds up and, combined with prior disbursements, represents steady progress toward recoupment and long term upside. If you’d like to keep your investment dollars working, FADE TO BLACK is currently open for investment and reinvesting the funds in your Wefunder account is pretty easy. Plus that film is shaping up really well. We can’t wait to share it with you all! From all of us at Legion M, thank you. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together with this film and deeply grateful for your continued trust and support. We’ll have more updates to share as additional revenues are received and distributed. Onward and Upward,Paul, Jeff, and the Legion M Team
