Last Wednesday, we were proud to host 30 Washington State legislators, staffers, and representatives from the Wheat and Potato Commissions. Their visit was part of a two-day journey through the Skagit Valley called Savor the Land: Where Policy Meets the Plate. The tour connected policymakers with agriculture, aquaculture, and community leaders to explore how smart policy can support resilient regional food systems.At the mill, we shared how our regenerative model supports farmers, protects soil health, and builds local economic value. We also showed how our stone-milled flours are reshaping the future of American wheat. When we told them how much support our Wefunder campaign has already received, they literally gasped and clapped. 👏Their visit is a strong signal that lawmakers are paying attention and that businesses like ours have a real role to play in rebuilding regional food systems.
