Here’s a look at five key areas of progress this summer:🌊 Global RecognitionAt Capitol Hill Ocean Week in Washington, DC, GMSO was represented by Chief of Staff Erin Seiler and Administrative Officer Suzanne Garrett, joining national leaders for discussions on “The Next Wave” of ocean discovery. Soon after, CEO G. Mark Miller represented The Explorers Club at the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice, France. Welding work is expanding the aft deck for larger mission capacity, while hydraulic system upgrades will support increased science operation capacity and rapid deployment. These improvements bring us closer to delivering a versatile, field-ready platform for ocean access in the Eastern Tropical Pacific.The R/V Cosmo continues to evolve including hydraulic system repairs underway.🚢 Fleet ExpansionNew partner vessels have joined the GMSO network, broadening our geographic coverage and mission capabilities.
