It's been quite the adventure since we started this journey with all of you back in 2021 during our first community round. Now –four years later– we are one step away from commercialization and extremely excited for this new chapter ahead of us.I wanted to share with you some of the most relevant updates since our last community round in 2023-24:Intellectual Property: In March of this year we officially filed our full patent application following our provisional patent filed in March of 2024. U.S. patent application No. 19/088,717 & PCT application No. PCT/US25/21174. Our patent mainly covers hardware, design and digital signal processing techniques. We will continue to strengthen our IP by filing additional patents along with proprietary trade-secret protected elements.Clinical Studies: We officially started a second clinical study in one of the largest hospitals in Mexico (Hospital Juárez de México), where we will evaluate the accuracy of our technology in a cohort of 1,350 patients. We are preparing to kick off 3 additional clinical studies this year and more to come in 2026 (aiming to analyze more than 100K patients within 18 months).Technology & Accuracy: We are now well within FDA accuracy thresholds for almost all biomarkers. Our results show 2.4 BPM Mean Absolute Error (MAE) for heart rate (FDA requires 5 BPMs), 0.5% MAE for SpO₂ (FDA requires 3%), 4.87 mmHg MAE for blood pressure (FDA requires 5 - 8 mmHg), and 20.8 mg/dL MAE for regular blood glucose levels (FDA requires 15 - 20 mg/dL). Our upcoming hardware iteration and calibration studies will allow us to ensure excellent sensitivity and specificity across all biomarkers and ranges.Team: Since our last community round we have incorporated a new CTO, MSc Mayra Mora, with extensive experience in biomedical engineering across different countries, a new CRO, MSE Victoria Merino, with relevant experience in clinical research in the US and Japan, and a new Machine Learning expert, PhD Felix Agakov, who has 30+ years of experience in applied machine learning.Collaborations: We have activated several new collaborations: InBody (biotech company specializing in bioimpedance) - clinical collaboration for our research endeavors. Fresh Consulting (hardware & software development company involved in several high profile technology products) - hardware and software development. Endeavor Health Research Institute (one of the largest hospital systems in the country) - validation clinical studies in the US. Pharmatics (machine learning research lab) - training and deployment of calibration and prediction machine learning models.Fundraising: Since our last community round we have partnered with additional relevant investors: Sabacica Capital ($250K), a newly formed NY based VC that will provide assistance in commercial preparation. An individual investor from the medical sector ($305K), who will support us through our clinical validation and is helping steer our current fundraising round. We are also currently involved in 2 Due Diligence processes with a group from Chicago and another from Vancouver-Washington, aiming to close the seed round within a few months.Grants: We have submitted a grant application to the SBIR program for $2.4M of non-dilutive capital to further develop our technology and undergo regulatory approval in the US as a prevention tool.Commercial Readiness: We have secured the placement of our first 200 units for next summer. Our clients include specialized clinics, public health programs, NGOs, and healthcare companies.Over the next few weeks I will share more extensive posts about our latest accomplishments.
