Join our upcoming webinar to see and learn more about our Electric/Hybrid/EREV E-CV1 design! How and why we designed the E-CV1Range: EV vs. Hybrid vs. EREVPricing and SpecificationsSee the E-CV1 Design Preview on YouTube. We are ready to reveal our exciting new ECV-1 design that uses what we have learned by building incrementally to solve big problems with all camper vans built on gas powered chassis AND lower prices and increase EV range. The EREV we are planning takes a holistic approach that considers range, affordability, RV charging scenarios and new design possibilities made possible by an EV drivetrain.Because of our deep experience building and delivering highly desirable vans to customers, we are much more likely to BUILD THE RIGHT THING than a company that has never delivered a vehicle or a big company that is slow and out of touch with its customers.Instead of building concept vehicles or prototypes, ModVans chose to go directly into production. We launched ModVans in late 2017 and delivered our first vehicle to a paying customer in June of 2018.Since then, we’ve grown production capacity by 10x and delivered vehicles to over 180 customers all over the US. At the same time, we’ve engaged in continuous R&D. It’s a lot like changing the tires on a moving bus! We’ve continuously improved our designs and added and high-tech features that our customers have demonstrated a willingness to pay for. We’ve grown from 1 model in 2018 to 6 models in 3 different sizes. All our models offer innovative and patented design features and the biggest and best tech available in the RV industry.Engineers often rail against the idea of minimum viable products and gradual improvement. On hard days I agree with them! On the surface, all the extra work for the intermediate versions (and dealing with customers) is maddening.BUT the surest way to kill your company is to spend all your precious money and time developing a product that customers really don’t want. Yes, they will tell you what they think they want (and that they want it all for a low, low price!). But often, their stated desires are limited by their biases and preconceptions. From the beginning, ModVans had a master plan that takes us from early, very low volume production to higher volumes building an electric adventure van. Each of our 6 models and every one of our 180+ customer deliveries was a step on this path. That is all - thanks for being a ModVans Fan!
