Hi all,Long time no talk. Sorry for the radio silence, but it has been busy, busy, busy around here these days. Spinster Sisters Co. is now sold nationwide in just under 4,000 doors. We have big expansions coming up with some of our great retailers like Whole Foods, and our bar soaps just launched in Natural Grocers, nationwide. We are growing, and the future is looking so very bright for Spinster Sisters Co.The most exciting new thing is....we are spreading our wings, and launched a new company last month - Blue Planet Manufacturing. Blue Planet Manufacturing is a contract manufacture/white label company. We will be selling pre-made, ready to sell soaps, lotions, lip balms, etc. - for you to slap your own label on, and sell, or gift for weddings/bridal showers, etc. Additionally, we will be manufacturing products for some of our biggest and best retail partners. We have commitments from 2 major retailers, and 2 smaller local companies already, and are approaching other big retailers, like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, in hopes we can do some manufacturing for them as well. For every lb. of plastic that is used in our warehouse, whether incoming or outgoing, we fund the reclamation of 2 lbs of plastic. To date we have reclaimed 5,922 lbs of ocean bound plastics, that have since been repurposed into new plastic materials to be reused.Over 120 billion units of plastic packaging are created for use in the beauty and personal care industries each year. 12 million tons of this plastic waste lands in our oceans each year, and only 9% of it is recycled.
