Not a day has gone by since our initial community investment campaign closed in 2021 that we haven't heard the question: when are you going to let the community invest again? We knew the demand was there.And boy, was it there. In just one week, Minnesota Aurora hit the 1000 new investors mark. We set the absolutely crazy goal for ourselves that we wanted to not only have the largest community owner base of any soccer team in the US, but we wanted 10k investors for Minnesota's 10k lakes (don't you jump in here and "well, actually" me with the 11,842 number).10k investors would mean bringing in 200% more investors from our 2021 raise. An audacious goal. But the more we thought about it, the more we remembered that none of us dared to speak aloud the idea that we would raise $1M in our initial investment campaign. One of the lessons we've learned in the last 3 years is to not be afraid to speak out loud our crazy goals.No one thought you could take a pre-professional women's team and sell out stadiums. No one thought you could raise $1M for a team without a name, without a logo, without a stadium.Now, in just one week, we have added 1000 investors to our ranks. That's 1/3 of the investors we had in our 3 month raise 3 years ago.We've got a long way to go, but this is a testament to the enormous amount of support for women's soccer and for community-ownership in sports. Help us get the word out as we push for 10k community owners!
