Nucleus family,As we approach the end of Q2, I wanted to share a quick update to highlight the last few months for Nucleus. While things continue to go well for Nucleus, the psychedelics industry has been issued a bit of a blow after recent events. For those that don't know, an FDA committee voted to reject Lykos' (formerly MAPS) MDMA for PTSD application. While this did come as a shock to those of us close to the medicines and the outcomes data, it's something that we must accept and learn from. For Nucleus, this doesn't change our mission, focus, or overall trajectory. As a reminder, we have been honed in on the following core main objectives:Generate as much revenue as possible.Reduce costs to meet revenue (as close to breakeven as possible).Extend runway (to ensure 18-24 months of operations).Innovate with the industry.Below, I'll highlight all of the updates associated with each one. Objective #1: RevenueIn our last update, we had mentioned that we were..."...poised to double that fixed MRR by expanding upon a specific niche that has increased in demand recently. That niche is clinical trial recruitment."I'm excited to relay that that is exactly what has happened. Our MRR has more than doubled since April and our recruitment services have been off to a great start. We are currently working with one partner spanning a handful of trials, but after we collect a few months' worth of data, we will expand to offering this much needed service to other trial partners. Objective #2: Reduce CostsWe continue to keep our monthly costs close to $15K. That has been the case since January. With the recent increase in revenue, we have not needed to dig deeper to look for more cost-savings, but we are always at the ready to do so when it's needed. Until then, our runway is extending, which is satisfying goal #3 for us (see below). Objective #3: Extend RunwayWith less than $5K of monthly burn, our runway has extended into 2027. There isn't much more to say about the importance of this, other than to point to the industry's recent events potentially slowing down the growth of every entity operating in this space. Objective #4: InnovateBecause we've been focusing on servicing clients in Q2, we have not made much progress on innovations of late. In our last update, we referenced a few opportunities (see below). We will continue to chip away at these projects when time allows. Neuly AIPsychedelic Invest 3.0 (Redesign and Content Upgrades)A Blockchain Product (Particles 2.0)AI-Based Medical Billing SolutionMore importantly, with a focus on clinical trial recruitment, we are identifying ways to streamline and scale our offering so that we can increase margins while offering even more value to clinical trial sites. Nucleus' Ecosystem GrowthOur ecosystem has continued to grow month-over-month. Overall traffic has slowed, but conversion rates into new subscribers and/or new Neuly users have elevated given our stronger focus on developing leads for our partners. We'll have to see how the industry performs in Q3. If traffic continues to dwindle, we will be sure to level up our new user acquisition strategy in more creative ways. In the interim, please support the psychedelic industry however you can. There is still so much great work being done and momentum being built. Ketamine clinics are still popping up around the country. And there are still plenty of potential FDA approvals slated for the very near future. We may be early, but this work is important.
