Well, that's a wrap! Yesterday, Wefunder distributed our last loan payment. Now, each of you has received 1.5x your original investment (or 1.25x, depending on when you invested). Our business together ... has concluded!This is great news for all of us. Your loan came at a time when we really needed cash to get Gage & Tollner off the ground. More importantly, your enthusiastic support helped us attract and secure the substantial equity funding we required to complete the project. Your belief in us literally changed our lives, and we will truly be forever grateful to you. We projected that we'd make the final payment at the end of year three or the beginning of year four of business, and here we are, just a couple weeks after our third anniversary. That feels good. Most of you invested in early 2019 and received a return of 50% after five years. That's an annual return rate of about 8.5% — not bad! Especially considering the delays forced on us by the pandemic. The news is great, but this moment somehow feels bittersweet. I'll miss you, Wefunder friends! Perhaps we'll meet again in the crowdfunding space... we would definitely consider using regulation crowdfunding again if we ever decide to open another business (a "big if," as they say). But of course, we now have a beautiful place to meet in real life — Gage & Tollner — which we all did our part to help create together. We hope to see you there soon, and often.
