Nucleus family,As I mentioned in last month's update, we've narrowed our scope and have maintained a focus on a core set of objectives:Generate as much revenue as possible.Reduce costs to meet revenue (as close to breakeven as possible).Extend runway (to ensure 18-24 months of operations).Innovate with the industry.Although it's been a slow start to the year for the psychedelics industry, I am pleased to share progress and results that reflect the accomplishment of the above goals. Objective #1: RevenueDuring Q1, we maintained a steady fixed MRR of $5K across all of our entities. On top of that, we'd typically bill $1K to $2K in additional revenue each month depending on client engagements and opportunities that arose. In Q2, we are poised to double that fixed MRR by expanding upon a specific niche that is increased in demand recently. That niche is clinical trial recruitment. We will begin working with more clinical trials directly in late April. After a few months, the plan is to document, standardize, and automate the processes in order to scale the offering to many more clinical trial sites. I will undoubtedly have more information about this endeavor next month. In the meantime, I will certainly be busy executing the plans we have laid out for this new, and promising, endeavor. Objective #2: Reduce CostsWe've been holding steady at $15K in monthly expenditures since January. We're constantly scouring all opportunities to lower costs based on striking a balance between the traction we receive generating more revenue and our desire to keep enough cash on hand to last us well into 2025. As you can tell from the above, because we're increasing revenue so far this year, we will continue to operate at the current levels. If anything changes on either side of our financials, we will assess and continue to diligently keep Nucleus in a positive long-term position. Objective #3: Extend RunwaySince this goal is directly tied to the above two goals, the task at hand here is to keep an eye on our monthly burn and our total cash balances. As we inch closer to breakeven, our monthly burn reduces and thus, we succeed in extending our runway. As of April 1st, we have enough runway to last, with our current run rates, through all of 2026. Objective #4: InnovateAs a venture studio, Nucleus will always keep its eye on new opportunities. Despite not having very many resources during this time, we are still developing the following technologies, tools, and potential companies:Neuly AIPsychedelic Invest 3.0 (Redesign and Content Upgrades)A Blockchain Product (Particles 2.0)AI-Based Medical Billing SolutionAs aforementioned, we are also slated to innovate within the clinical trial market, which may inevitably lead to new technologies, services, and ventures. Nucleus' Ecosystem GrowthIn Q1, the Nucleus ecosystem grew 4%. This equates to 21,000 subscribers/members in total. Because of the state of the industry, traffic hasn't increased in 2024. That said, it has maintained enough for us to feel like our assets have been built to last. Despite no longer employing copywriters in 2024, we've managed to publish more content than ever AND yield more organic traffic in March versus January and February. Our podcast listens increased 10% while our video streams increased 4% QoQ.Content CreationBelow is a review of all published content in Q1.Press Releases: 124Original Articles and Events: 39January (5):https://psychedelicinvest.com/allegations-of-sexual-abuse-in-the-psychedelic-industry-how-to-address-and-prevent-misconduct/https://psychedelicinvest.com/anuma-pioneering-psychological-wellbeing-technology-for-serious-disease-care-and-beyond/https://psychedelicinvest.com/the-current-landscape-of-psychedelic-therapist-training/https://psychedelicinvest.com/review-of-the-psychedelic-industry-in-2023-a-year-of-toil-torment-and-triumph/https://psychedelicinvest.com/5-risks-while-operating-in-the-psychedelics-industry-in-2024/February (12):https://psychedelicinvest.com/alto-neurosciences-inc-begins-trading-at-16-per-share/https://psychedelicinvest.com/numinus-wellness-inc-raises-6-million/https://psychedelicinvest.com/police-seizures-of-psilocybin-are-up-369-since-2017/https://psychedelicinvest.com/newsom-moves-california-toward-psychedelic-therapy/https://psychedelicinvest.com/fda-accepts-mdma-for-ptsd-therapys-new-drug-application/https://psychedelicinvest.com/a-doctor-is-suing-the-dea-to-treat-terminally-ill-patients-with-psilocybin/https://psychedelicinvest.com/new-mexico-takes-bold-steps-towards-psilocybin-therapy-research/https://psychedelicinvest.com/unveiling-the-mysteries-of-the-mind-a-landmark-event-in-new-orleans/https://psychedelicinvest.com/similarities-between-ai-and-psychedelics/https://psychedelicinvest.com/illinois-embarks-on-a-legalization-journey-for-psilocybin-therapy/https://psychedelicinvest.com/save-the-date-psychedelic-science-returns-in-2025/https://psychedelicinvest.com/psychedelics-effects-on-sexual-functions/March (16):https://psychedelicinvest.com/ketamines-short-and-long-term-effects-on-depression/https://psychedelicinvest.com/braxia-scientific-corp-shows-resilience-amid-financial-challenges/https://psychedelicinvest.com/the-state-of-advertising-psychedelics-online/https://psychedelicinvest.com/the-rising-curiosity-in-psilocybin-gummies/https://psychedelicinvest.com/the-bluesky-wellness-and-lucy-scientific-deal-is-a-no-go/https://psychedelicinvest.com/cleveland-clinic-launches-nationwide-clinical-trial-for-magic-mushrooms/https://psychedelicinvest.com/survey-shows-publics-growing-acceptance-of-magic-mushrooms/https://psychedelicinvest.com/investments-in-studying-solid-tumors-could-increase-in-2024/https://psychedelicinvest.com/maps-and-the-city-of-denver-make-psychedelic-history/https://psychedelicinvest.com/elon-musk-continues-to-defend-ketamine/https://psychedelicinvest.com/gilgamesh-receives-grant-to-combat-opioid-dependency/https://psychedelicinvest.com/studying-the-effects-of-natural-psilocybin-versus-synthetic-versions/https://psychedelicinvest.com/psilocybin-study-reveals-the-brain-suppresses-reactions-to-angry-faces/https://psychedelicinvest.com/insurance-coverages-to-help-bring-psychedelic-treatments-to-market/https://psychedelicinvest.com/preparing-for-the-horizons-perspectives-on-psychedelics-event-in-new-york/https://psychedelicinvest.com/atai-life-sciences-applauds-breakthrough-in-depression-treatment-with-beckley-psytechs-dmt-study/Podcast Episodes (6):https://psychedelicinvest.com/marik-hazan-invests-in-healthcares-biggest-blindspots-podcast-episode-43/https://psychedelicinvest.com/cory-firth-is-committed-to-a-career-empowering-wellbeing-podcast-episode-44/https://psychedelicinvest.com/rebecca-nicholson-is-advancing-the-field-of-wellness-for-all-podcast-episode-45/https://psychedelicinvest.com/robin-arnott-sandeep-prakash-are-building-meditative-states-through-sound-podcast-episode-46/https://psychedelicinvest.com/alex-atwood-is-a-psychedelic-integration-coach-podcast-episode-47/https://psychedelicinvest.com/robert-ansin-builds-bridges-to-healing-podcast-episode-48/Total Published Pieces in Q1: 163To an Exciting 2024!As you can hopefully tell by this update, Nucleus is doing just fine.
