We are very pleased to share an announcement that Stride Development has been awarded significant funding to assist in developing a $48 Million project in Jamestown, ND.From North Dakota Housing Finance Agency's Press Release:"The Gardenette in Jamestown is a multiphase rehabilitation project led by Stride Development PBC. The $48 million project comprises three phases which will acquire and rehabilitate a 168-single bedroom unit development into 150 units providing one-, two- and three-bedroom options. Phase 1 secured $1.1 million of 9% LIHTCs (creating over $9,000,000 in equity investment). Phase 2 received $1,082,900 of 9% LIHTCs (also creating over $9,000,000 in equity investment), and Phase 3 was awarded $1,032,000 of 4% LIHTCs (creating just under $9,000,000 in equity investment) and $3 million in HIF dollars."Emphasis and (parentheticals) added for clarity.We are excited to move into our company's next phase as a result of winning one of the largest affordable housing awards in the history of North Dakota. In total the state awards amount to over $30 million in support for the project in addition to additional support from the federal government for energy efficiency and roof top solar installation.The project will meet some of the highest standards of energy efficiency and health for an acquisition and rehabilitation project. As a result the families that live in the Gardenette will enjoy lower costs, while also enjoying the health benefits of those standards which include much higher indoor air quality, comfortable and consistent temperatures, and comfortably controlled humidity.
