In March, Mark attended the Regenerative Agriculture & Food Systems Summit, the first of its kind held in the USA.   The summit’s statement is: “Unifying the food industry to accelerate regenerative agriculture practices through partnership and harmonization.”Mark had a strategic meeting with one of the featured speakers of the summit, the director of sustainability of one of the world’s largest food and beverage companies.  They are looking at ways to “close the loop” of their food waste.  Following the summit, the director of sustainability reached out to Mark to start a dialog about how HeartFoods could help them find solutions to the food waste issues at many of their food production factories.  “Great to meet you in Chicago a few weeks ago. I cannot get your company’s technology / concept out of my head! To that end, I’d love to have a follow-up conversation, especially focused on how a company like ours with lots of sourcing and operational complexities, could engage with this tech.” Mark is developing a contract to analyze some of their operations in the USA (i.e., take on-site food waste from food production and convert it to live culture organic fertilizer, create green energy from the biogas, and calculate overall reduction in carbon footprint). Mark also met the founder of a USA biochar company.  Biochar, as a systemic ingredient of HeartFoods intellectual property and technical licensing agreements, is one of the natural additives that adds a significant boost to the live culture fertilizer created from the food waste digestate.  This company has many successful biochar farming applications and has an established supply/production network.  Their unique and proprietary biochar blends are an ideal fit for enhancing our microbial fertilizer recipes.   Summit Website:https://www.regenerativeagriculturesummitusa.com/events/regenerative-agriculture-food-systems-summit-usa Let’s Grow!The HeartFoods Team
