Earlier this year, Cornell University's Hemp Program began using one of our devices using PAMAP technology in a continued research study on hemp plant stresses! By comparing the results from a plant set being provided full treatments of nitrogen and the results from a plant being deprived of nitrogen, we hope to develop a full set of data and analyze the resulting spectra for signs identifying the lack of nitrogen.PAMAP can already analyze the following information about plants from a simple scan:Total THC Content (93% accuracy)Sex Determination (100% accuracy)Differentiation between marijuana and hemp (100% accuracy)CBD and CBG Detection (90% accuracy)Our research study with Cornell University's Hemp Program is ongoing, and it is our hope that using PAMAP, we can detect abiotic plant stress days before visible signs appear. If successful, this early detection would save hemp farmers time and money, as well as reduce nitrogen run-off pollution, by lowering the need of fertilizer in hemp farms!
