Dear friends, colleagues, supporters,Amazingly, we're already in the second half of 2023 and it's time to update you on our Year Over Year (YOY) progress for H1:- Gross profit: up +45% - Reservation count: up +10.6%- Average booking rate: up +8.3%- Loyalty guest sign-ups: up +31%- Repeat bookings: steady at ~ 60%- Invoice collection: up +19.8%- Marketing spend: up +7.8%- Active hotels: down -25.3% Despite 3 main challenges of the past half year: (1) a severe hacker attack on our digital ads, (2) a digital tagging mess-up, (3) an API breakdown for a few weeks that shrank branded inventory; we're continuing to think that 2023 will be the best year of the past 8 years of HotelsByDay.In the meantime, we're keeping steady in executing the plan set for 2023:1 - Provide a more luxurious daytime experience with upscale hotel sign-ups.2 - Diversify the booking options, with more day passes (pool access, co-working spaces, meeting room rentals, parking passes, spa passes).3 - Improve the ROI of our API to the hospitality ecosystem.4 - Open South-East Asia and LatAm.5 - Improve paid search acquisition costs.At this stage, our biggest challenge is signing up hotels in Asia + LatAm.Can you help?Any contact in either region would be greatly welcomed.If hotel contacts are not your forte then as per last quarter update, please remember to help with the following asks:1 - Download & review our app in your app store:  iOS store or GGL play2 - Refer friends to book & experience our daycation services.3 - Communicate about HotelsByDay in social media.Of course, we are happy to grant you a unique discount code for you & your family. Simply reply to this email, and I'd be delighted to answer any further questions on the company as well as sharing a special discount code.Thank you and go HBD!Sincerely,Yannis Moati - CEO
