We are in a challenging economic environment and it's especially challenging for startups that are raising funding. Investors are looking for companies that have high growth rates along with a sustainable business model. But many early stage startups don't know how they will make money. They are still trying to grow their brand awareness, usage, and figure out how to get to product market fit. Skillest has already solved many of these challenges!1) We have product market fit - students love Skillest and rate it 4.9 on the App Store. More importantly, coaches rely on Skillest to build their businesses.2) We have built a strong brand in the golf community. Skillest is known as the platform where the best coaches teach. 3) We already have a business model that generates revenue. Skillest charges a 15% service fee on top of all customer purchases.We wanted to improve Skillest's business model and we've made great progress!We launched a new subscription plan in September 2022. We started charging coaches $49/month to use all of the tools Skillest offers. We continue to charge customers the 15% service fee.This chart shows the number of subscriptions and monthly recurring revenue for the new plan we launched in September.What are coaches paying for?Skillest is not just a matchmaking service that connects golfers to golf coaches. We are a complete platform to help coaches run their business. We offer:An online presence with ratings and reviews and the ability to sell your coaching services. Coaches don't even need their own website to build a large business. Messaging that rivals applications like Whatsapp and iMessage for coaches. Coaches and students can send each other text messages, files, photos, voice messages, videos and video analysis through the app. We are the best way for coaches to communicate with students.CRM tools to help coaches manage their students. Coaches can send broadcast messages to their active subscribers, lapsed subscribers, former students, followers, etc. We provide tools to help coaches grow their business.Billing functionality including the ability to sell monthly and yearly subscriptions, individual lessons, and packages of lessons. We handle all the complexity of keeping track of what students have paid for. What's in store for Skillest in the future?Our goal is to become the central hub between a coach and a student. Whether you teach remotely or in-person, Skillest will be the one tool a coach needs to grow their business.We've been working on this problem for a long time.
