📣 Great news!‼️ We’ve just passed the halfway point of our minimum fundraising goal!🫂 Our community has rallied around us, and together we have already raised $25,000!!👏🏾 We want to give another huge thank you to those who have already reserved their investment and help put us closer to creating a world where no one feels "out of place."😊 But when it comes to reaching this milestone, we wouldn't be doing it justice if we didn't include some of the amazing shoutouts given by our investors:Rashawn Davis:Love the mission and vision! We need both the power of community and voice in the hospitality industry.Erik Ogan:I want to live in a world where this project is not necessary, but until we do I want as many folks as possible to be as safe as they can. I also want to inspire all of us to do and be better!Luisa Aparisi-França:The Green Book Project is a revitalization of community knowledge that grants even more accessibility than the previous Green Book that was published between the '30s and '60s by Victor Hugo.Inviting everyone across multiple intersectionalities to contribute, the project is fresh-faced, optimistic and holds to a set of moral standards that seek to take our present social consciousness towards a more informed and aware reality. Rather than focusing on what would make the perfect building blocks for an idealized society, The Green Book Project works closely with communal trust and experience, using a hands-on forum approach to help discern and pave a map for other marginalized people who have for too long been tasked with moving heaven and earth by using their impeccable sense of subtext and discernment to feel out their survival in hostile environments. The Green Book is an attempt at mutual aid in a way that hasn't been before, and just like people used to say about the original print book—we should never leave home without it.Vanessa Darko:Read the bio and it’s a solid investment. - I am a Black Business Owner. - I am excited about being a part of this venture and being a shareholder in an amazing company!Renzo S:Christian & Greenbook team: What your app is doing TRULY matters. Me & my chosen family navigate the world under intersecting layers of marginalization -- as queer folks, as trans & nonbinary folks, and as BIPOC. We & other members of marginalized communities, such as disabled & neurodivergent folks-- NEED this app to feel safe & to see where we will be treated fairly / if facilities are even accessible! We also need this app to report instances of disrespect & mistreatment so that we can SAVE OTHERS in our community from harm. Even as a start up, I'm certain that the Greenbook app has already saved many people discrimination & inaccessibility. Thank you, Greenbook team, for your important work & for continuing the legacy of the original Greenbook. Much love, respect, and best wishes for your app!!Sylvia Rolle:I love the project and believe in Christian's vision. I know he has what it takes to get this venture to the next level.Elbereth Walker:My husband and I talk a lot about discrimination and slavery and the continuing impacts that generational actions and hateful, greedy beliefs still have on us today. We worry about the present that our biracial daughter lives in and about the future she will inherit. During these discussions, we wondered if a current-day Green Book existed, and when I looked it up…voilà, there you were! Of course, we want this to be successful, so although we can’t offer much now, we want to help. Hopefully, later we can help more.To see more testimonials from our community of investors, click here.⏰ And if you haven't already, be sure to reserve your own investment before time runs out!!
