The time has come again for our next company updates! BabyVend has been busy as ever but boy oh boy do we have a lot to share. I’d like to number the highlights I want to share with each of you. The following is in no particular order❤️ We used the month of June to have a company wide strategic sabbatical. This allowed us to work on internal processes, areas for opportunities, team development and goal setting. The team reported it was very nice to be able to sit back and focus on their vision and goals for their specific department and area of focus. We let all of our current customers know that our service to them would not cease but we were using this time to plan what’s next, how to best to get there AND ensure our customers are happy along the way. Team focus areas were sales, tech support for machines, training, data, and operations. Focuses for me we’re finances, strategic planning and public relationswe brought an an amazing industry veteran and respected Alaskan advertising guru. He has helped us develop internal and external advertising opportunities on our machines. This is HUGE because it’s another stream of income for us and owners of our machines.After lots of trial and error (and so many lessons) we found an amazing logistics partner to handle scheduling and delivery of our machines. This company is the best and exceeds our expectations and has successfully delivered 6 machines so far. Yay!Our company was recently named the #3 startup from Alaska and was assessed on various factors. (we will share the link in the press section of our fundraiser)We added new machines in Florida, Virginia, and New York We signed up to partner with a financing partner who will allow us to offer financing to potential machine owners and take on vetting and paperwork.We upgraded our accounting software and expanded on our processes and created a new position that is exclusively responsible for accounts payable. Having this many machines require a lot of time and attention to ensure each location has the proper accounting set up (each location runs their accounting department different and for minute we struggled with how to streamline this into one) but we got it now. Our sales department is still using Asana and Stripe and some others for Accounts Receivable.we just got back from a regional meet up with new and current machine owners (held in Virginia at one of the machines). We believe regional meet ups are important to assure machine owners that they are supported, kept in the loop on what is happening with our company, and have their ideas heard. the response was 100% satisfaction and we will do this again for the western region. (That will be in the next update)We took a big interest and focus on community building for those who work with us and came up with some really fun and innovative monthly activities and regular trainings to support our vending machine owners with a goal of helping them grow and be seen in the community. We are almost done with building our new website which will feature online product ordering for machine owners, an enhanced map, and matching app. We had our expansion celebration in Alaska and the Chief Kid Officers did a great job with their remarks in program.We check on our finances regularly and it was a great reminder to see that our 2021 income was 10x the amount of our 2020 income (which was 3x the amount of our 2019 income) and we had another profitable year.mostly importantly we filed our form C which will take our raise to the next level and allow us to access the funding reserved on our behalf! This funding is really going to help our company do some big things.We will continue to work on the items reported in our last update in addition to the ones reported here.
