Hello everyone,We're about the close the first half of 2022 and the team has been pressing forward and I wanted to bring you all up to speed on all the exciting developments.• We have raised $313,672 to date through private investors, Wefunder, and Indiegogo• That brings us $36,327 away from reaching our US goal of $350,000.• The project is now a Singapore, US, and Taiwan co-production thanks to the shepherding of our co-producer Sherman Ng. We are working with a Taiwan based production company that is submitting the film to local and national film commissions for grants. If accepted we have the chance to have up to 50% of our budget reimbursed if we produced the majority of the film inside the country. The first grant has been submitted to the Taichung Film Commission!• The goal is to move into production with a 2.5 million budget with 1.5 million spent in Taiwan and the remaining million used in the States. 70% of the film will be shot in Taiwan and 30% split between Los Angeles and San Francisco.•  IMDA has verbally agreed to support sales and festival effort.• Bob Elder at Collide Distribution has provided an LOI expressing interest in distributing the film in North and South America post theatrical. We are also in talks for potential investment in the marketing elements for the film. • Salt Media & Entertainment, run by Sherman has also expressed interest in distributing in Southeast Asia.• Script has been updated to reflect the scenes that will be filmed in Taiwan• We have a verbal commitment from Emily Rose to play the female lead Maite Huang and we are currently looking at local Taiwan talent to play Pastor Roger• Check out our update pitch deck hereWhat are the next steps for us?
