June 7, 2021, NEW YORK – Project M Group, the owner of media brands Inked Magazine, Revolver Magazine, BrooklynVegan, The Hard Times, Goldmine Magazine and Metal Edge announced today the acquisition of a 100% controlling stake in the assets of Franklin and Cortlandt Vinyl, LLC, d/b/a SunPress Vinyl, a Miami-based vinyl pressing company founded in 2016. SunPress Vinyl will immediately be fully integrated into the operations of Project M. As stated with the initial purchase of a 43% stake in July 2021, SunPress will further accelerate Project M’s strategic initiatives in the vinyl collecting market and will now have scaled manufacturing capabilities as well as the ability to produce exclusive, limited-edition pressings.Project M also announces it has acquired all of the assets of leading EDM music site YourEDM.com. YourEDM will allow the company to expand its ecommerce and media offerings into the rapidly growing EDM space. Project M will have full ownership of the brand going forward and will look to relaunch in the coming months along with a new ecommerce initiative.These acquisitions will continue to build upon the platform that Project M has built featuring access to more than 6 million monthly unique users and generating a run-rate of more than $20 million per year in ecommerce revenue.“We are excited to consolidate ownership of SunPress vinyl giving us control of critical vinyl capacity that will approach 1 million records in the coming year and to serve our rapidly growing ecommerce business,” explained Project M Group CEO Enrique Abeyta. “We look forward to integrating their operations and further innovating in the vinyl record area especially with our control of the Goldmine brand along with our other media brands.”He added, “Additionally, the acquisition of YourEDM.com allows us entry into one of the fastest growing and most exciting areas of the music industry.
