The first half of 2023 has laid the foundations for the future in important and impactful ways. From patent awards to customer success, we’ve brought long-standing plans to fruition and established what we’ll need to thrive for the second half of the year and beyond.  Patent Awards  This spring, we were formally awarded both of the patents which form the intellectual property foundations of Avallano. U.S. Patent No. 11,610,012 was awarded March 21, and U.S. Patent No. 11,640,475 was awarded May 2. These patents describe our ability to secure sensitive data on a personal device, to govern the sharing and exchange of that data using blockchain, and to safely move that data across devices for recovery purposes. These methods are at the core of our safe personalization model, making it possible for us to bring curated and relevant resources to patients while keeping them in complete control of their personally identifiable information. Having these methods protected under patent is a major milestone for our founding team and the company as a whole.  Patient Engagement for Clinical Research  Avallano has made tremendous strides toward our goal of becoming the preferred engagement platform for regulated industries. Our first market is clinical research, where our solution puts the patient in control of their experience so that they engage with research opportunities more enthusiastically, more frequently, and with a higher degree of trust. Using our engagement platform, the organizations running clinical trials are able to recruit and retain more patients, accelerate their timelines, and speed medical breakthroughs to market. Our combination of consumer-grade apps for mobile engagement, AI, and blockchain technology creates personalized and secure patient experiences, while providing our customers powerful tools to manage and optimize recruitment efforts.  We’ve brought our message to a group of customers whose mission is near and dear to us – the research foundations who work with veterans to ensure that the innovations and opportunities presented by clinical research are brought to VA hospitals and clinics around the country. We have executed contracts with the research foundations in Cleveland / Northeast Ohio, Durham North Carolina, and the Bronx in New York. Later this summer, we’ll be launching Avallano-powered apps which will educate, engage, and invite veterans to participate in the invaluable research being conducted at the VA and its academic research partners.   Successful Transitions  For those of you that have been with us since the beginning, you’ll notice a change in branding and focus. The same platform which powered our hospitality application is the foundation of our intellectual property and engagement platform for regulated industries like clinical trials. We’ve fully transitioned from our previous application – the Indulj solution for hospitality – and are now focused on connecting patients with research providers. As part of that transition, we also rebranded from GoBeep to Avallano, from the Italian avalare, meaning “to endorse or to guarantee.” Visit our website and LinkedIn page to learn more about us and to keep in touch.   Thank You  Finally, we want to extend a huge thank you.
