# 33 Days October Update | 33 Days Film - Canonical URL: https://wefunder.com/feed/150080 - Entity ID: wefunder:feed_item:150080 - Published at: 2021-11-02 22:34:42 UTC - Updated at: 2025-07-09 03:21:06 UTC ## Author Tony Gapastione ## Subject 33 Days Film ## Content Hello everyone,Hope you are enjoying the slight season change into autumn. I have exciting news regarding 33 Days. The team has made some tremendous strides since our last update.The biggest news after the Wefunder raise, we connected with a co-producer based in Singapore, Salt Media. Sherman Ng and his team are like minded creatives who have proven to be champions for the film and have come alongside the project to shepherd it through finding sources of funding and consulting.The Salt Media team has found an investor in Taiwan who is interested in funding 45% of the film for a 2 million dollar budget. Sherman has also secured grants from the Taiwanese government that will rebate the film starting at 30% if we spend a million or more in the country. Put those two sources of funding together and we have over 75% of the budget raised! We are very close to getting the project into production for 2022. We will also break up the filming between Taiwan and California. The relationship with Salt Media has opened up the opportunity to shoot in Taiwan which will maximize our budget and give us financial incentives far greater than what we could receive in the states. About 70% - 80% will be shot in Taiwan and the rest shot between San Francisco and Los Angeles.What is left for us to raise is 600K. We already have close to 240K in the bank leaving us a little over 360,000 left to raise. If you would like to invest more to get us to this goal, we welcome your partnership. We do have an international star interested in playing Roger, we cannot announce anything public yet but we look forward to announcing the casting soon.The next step is to raise the remaining budget that is needed and then begin the pre-production stage.
