In the software world, we use “repositories” like Github to house our projects. It’s a place where apps are born, where they’re first given a name, where they live and grow.Prewrite is quite similar, only for stories.I create a new repository on Github when I have an idea for an app, I start a new story in Prewrite when I have an idea for a video, or short film. Whether it’s something I’ve been asked to create, or an idea of my own that’s just beginning to form.I could nerd out on code repositories all day, and the similarities with Prewrite go far beyond just a storage solution, (especially when you get into our upcoming collaboration and version tracking features)… but I want to really hit on this very basic but important aspect of Prewrite that’s easily overlooked: Prewrite is a place where story ideas live, change and grow into complete works.
