Hey everyone! Did you notice that our fundraiser closed at $519K and then by the next day it changed to $496K? And now it's at $0?Weird, right? 🧐Yeah, I about had a heart attack when I saw the $496K number because I know we raised more money than that (and had a screen shot to prove it, haha). I was so confused and it was a Saturday so I had to wait until Monday to hear back from the people at WeFunder to answer my questions.Long story short (but still long), some of our early investors who had not yet "rolled over" their investments when we did our first rolling close were cancelled as soon as the campaign closed.This was a total surprise to me, and I would have warned people this was going to happen if I knew, but I didn't know. And the people at WeFunder have been very gracious in supporting what's next and also correcting this for future campaigns for other entrepreneurs because it was kind of a mess! But all messes can get cleaned up, right?Those early investors are only the people who initially jumped in before we filed the Form C, which was on April 12, 2021. So, if you are someone who invested prior to April 12, 2021 and you did not yet fund your investment, your investment was cancelled. And don't worry, I will reach out to you to support you with what's next.Because there's good news after the bad news.WeFunder has re-launched our campaign so that those who got cancelled can still invest. And the unintended bonus of that is those who missed the deadline can also jump in! But we're only planning to raise a quick $50K this round to allow the cancelled peeps and the late peeps to get in there!So spread the word and I will also reach out to each of you whose investments were cancelled so that you know and can jump back in. Look out for that email early next week!If you already know it's you, feel free to redo your investment now. Anyway, there's more to do, but I just wanted to explain to everyone why it looks like our campaign started over again. We put in a request for them to do some technical magic wanding on the back end to add our previous funds back in to our home page so it doesn't look so confusing. We'll see what happens.
