Hello investors and potential investors,Since blowing past our 1st Landmark goal of $20,000 we've had some questions about the total cost of the film and where the additional funds will go.We want to be as transparent as possible about where funds will be allocated and keep everyone informed about our progress and development. First, I want to clarify what our minimum goal of $20,000 means and explain our Landmark Goals. WeFunder, like many other money raising platforms, requires a minimum raise for a campaign to be successful. If a campaign does not cross that threshold then all the money is returned. We created a Production Budget that reflected that $20,000, meaning we would have the funds to get through our 11 days of Production. This was important to us as it represents the first major hurdle to get over. This still leaves all of the Post Production expenses up in the air. Additional funds provide a way to speed up the Post Production timeline as well as enhance quality in certain areas. We are always prepared with more affordable options, but our real dream is to invest in the Post Production process as much as we do in Production & Principal Photography. Which is where our 2nd Landmark Goal comes in. If we are able to raise $50,000, we will have the funds to hire a professional composer, colorist, visual effects artists, and enhance the film in several other ways. We are again able to leverage relationships and save on cost in key areas. For instance, editing is being done by Director Sean Oliver, saving the production considerable upfront cost. We have goals that stretch beyond our 2nd Landmark Goal, but we'll save those for another update as we get closer and hopefully cross that threshold!Indie filmmaking is often about how cleverly you can cut corners, but with further support and funding we can save that creative energy for the screen. We have a mountain of updates that include casting, locations, and new exciting crew coming on board, so keep an eye on this page. Thanks for tuning in!
