DIVERTsessions has been open for almost a month, and what a first month it has been! We have learned A LOT about our business, and our team has shown up to problem-solve challenges and take advantage of new opportunities in real time. The dream of changing lives, and providing opportunity is alive and well at DIVERT and we can really see the difference we are making everyday.&nbsp;Guests are loving the experience that we’ve created at DIVERT. How do we know? We’re seeing a nearly 75% up-sell conversion from single-hour to full-day passes, and full-day to summer passes on site. Guests come, they upgrade their passes, they share like crazy on their socials, and they bring their friends back! Not only that, but we have been getting so many positive reviews and comments when people come to DIVERTsessions. LINKED HERE are a few testimonials, you can find more in the comments on our @divertsessions Instagram page!&nbsp;In our first 24 days, we’ve seen over 1,046 bookings with our top 10% of guests returning almost weekly for our various events like DIVERT’s Summer Jam - check out some highlights HERE!The best part is that guest visits, and resulting $30,250.00 in sales and donations, have been 98.7% organic driven by word-of-mouth, social media, SEO and press mentions - check out our recent feature in the OC Register and our news spot on CBS San Diego. We’ve spent next to nothing on paid advertising. We have gathered insights over the last month to see what works, and we are launching our informed paid campaign as we speak! Next month we will be launching a monthly membership to DIVERT for $69.99/month to get recurring revenue moving on our books as a solid revenue foundation.As with all new businesses, driving guest attendance and repeat visits are our top priority. We’re solving that by supercharging our awareness and retention efforts with digital ads on Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, and Google, review and referral programs via YOTPO, local sub-promoters, upcoming press coverage from the LA Times, Fox SD and LA, Men’s Journal, Snowboarder Mag and more are all coming out to help share the DIVERTsessions story!Another huge effort is group sales which has flipped from outbound cold-calling, to inbound inquiries - a great signal! We just hosted HomeBoy Industries who brought 50 at-risk youth to DIVERT to experience action sports for the first time - check that out HERE!In August, we have Burton’s Chill Foundation, Stoked Org, Girl Scout’s, Boys and Girls Club and more bringing groups whose visits will be featured on Fuel TV. This should help to be our marketing megaphone locally, nationally and even globally as Fuel TV streams to 750 million devices across the globe.&nbsp;Needless to say, we are learning A LOT about our operation, especially where to save money. In the first month Eric Klaff (Head of Operations) and Adrianna (Operations Manager) worked together to shave nearly 55% off of our projected monthly operating costs to help us run light and lean while not sacrificing on our experience. Some areas of major cost savings include cross training employees, removing/replacing expensive site rentals and modifying staffing schedules to mimic guest demand.&nbsp;Another initiative that we think will help shave another ~$60k/month in expense off the operation&nbsp; is to transition some of our on-going monthly equipment rental liabilities to owned assets by purchasing some of the equipment necessary to run the park. We have identified some of the items that would make an obvious transition, you can find those items in THIS LIST.&nbsp;The founders plan to invest another $50,000, and we are looking to close another $150,000-$300,000 to purchase some of the equipment we currently rent and jumpstart our marketing efforts before we close this round on July 31st, 2021!No matter what, we greatly appreciate your on-going support and we are so grateful to have you as part of the DIVERTfam!
