On the historic event of Juneteenth - we are also pleased to announce that the National Science Foundation has invited SmartGurlz and NYU to submit a full grant application to work with and abolish systemic racism in STEM education.With community partners, SmartGurlz products and after-school education will be made available in the Greater NYC area focused on black and brown learners. The goal is to educate 3,000+ children from grades 3rd- to 6th, create 160 High School mentors and provide professional development of local teachers. With the thousands of applications they received this year, we are pleased that our program was short-listed.
