The good news continues during the first full week of Hempitecture's equity crowdfunding campaign. In addition to reserving nearly 65% ($1,589,751) across 536 investors in the campaign's first 10 days, today we are excited to share a company update that will position Hempitecture to be the innovators and industry leaders in the years to come.Currently, Hempitecture is highly focused on disrupting the insulation market with a healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly insulation, but insulation is not the only building product that deserves a hemp-based alternative. To lead the development of Hempitecture's product roadmap, COO Tommy Gibbons will be starting a 2 year fellowship sponsored by the Building Technologies Office and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. This program will allow Hempitecture to design, prototype, test, and commercialize different hemp and bio-based building product concepts. Oak Ridge is home to the Building Technologies Research and Integration Center (BTRIC) and the Maximum Building Energy Efficiency Research Laboratory (MAXLAB) which are designed to test the performance of building products and simulate the different climates and elements materials face while in use. These lab capabilities will allow Hempitecture to create the highest performing products for the least manufacturing cost while closely studying their life cycle analyses and environmental impacts.Hempitecture will also gain a network and regional support from the Tennessee area to explore additional production facilities as a counter footprint to their Idaho manufacturing campus.Thank you for your continued support as we work to make Hempitecture the supplier of Truly Sustainable Materials for generations to come.-The Hempitecture Team
