New Way Homes is excited to announce a project milestone: We have purchased 8930 MacArthur Blvd., a long-vacant lot in east Oakland! Two-and-a-half years of work is now in the County's approval process for the environmental cleanup plan. We’re proud to be part of environmental justice by cleaning up this contaminated site to create much-needed affordable housing. Thank you to Bay Area LISC and The Partnership for the Bay’s Future for financing this purchase (along with NWH fund investors). And another big thank you to Healthy Communities and neighborhood volunteers who cleaned the heck out of the lot in January!
