Dear Fuel & Iron Investors,The entire Fuel & Iron Team has been working tirelessly to ensure the success of the redevelopment of the Holmes Hardware Block. Many goals and milestones have been met within the last few weeks. Listed below are a few of the project's most recent successes.Four restauranteurs have been selected to be vendors in the food hall and have signed Letters Of Intents. The sixth vendor will be a coffee and ice cream shop. Three of the vendors are established local restaurants that will be trying new concepts in the food hall. The other two vendors are new establishments that will be introducing new food concepts as well. The general contractor has been selected for the project and construction is scheduled to begin in July 2021. Construction for the project will take nine months. The anticipated opening date for Fuel & Iron will be in April 2022. The Pueblo City Council unanimously approved a minor modification to the Union Avenue Urban Renewal Plan and a Cooperation Agreement to allow Fuel & Iron to capture some of the sales tax generated by the food hall to pay for public improvements. This underscores the support and commitment of the City of Pueblo to the Fuel & Iron Project.The project team has a monthly call scheduled with multiple departments of Pueblo Community College, including the Southern Colorado Innovation Link, Culinary Arts Program, Pueblo Corporate College and Small Business Development Center to discuss partnership opportunities, demonstrating our commitment to support the educational institutions of Pueblo.
