During a year that has been challenging in countless ways, our big silver lining is being in community with you. Today, we celebrate your dedication to supporting health and wellness for the children in your lives through thick and thin, as we reflect on how we’ve grown as a collective in 2020.Our Students2,128 New EducatorsIn 2020, we offered 41 online course sessions with 2,128 participants from 20 countries.47,280 Children & TeensOur graduates in 2020 have worked with 47,280 students to date.Since 1999, Yoga Ed. has certified 78,843 educators working with 15,604,796 students across 45 countries.Our CommunityAccessible ProgrammingOur mission is to affect sustainable change through accessible programming that effectively improves the physical and mental health of communities worldwide. In pursuit of our mission, it’s important to build shared, sustainable prosperity for all. Some of the ways we’ve increased access to yoga and mindfulness programs across communities in 2020 include:Free Yoga & Mindfulness Classes for Children & TeensFree workshops: Trauma-Sensitive Yoga and Mindful Practices for You and Your Students, Simple Yoga & Mindfulness Tools for Distance Learning, Ask Us Anything, How to Create SEL-Based Yoga & Mindfulness Lesson PlansSliding scale pricing for paid online workshopsAccessible pricing for online courses, including discounts for educators and non-profitsGroup discounts for schools and non-profit organizationsCreating and producing learning opportunities facilitated in ASLDiversifying Our OwnershipWe are crowdraising to diversify our ownership, so the people who own Yoga Ed. represent the people we serve. With the minimum investment being $100, we have increased the opportunity for our community to make an investment for themselves and for the future of youth.Our TeamA Commitment to EquityIn 2020, all our staff started Anti-Bias Anti-Racist training with ABAR educator Britt Hawthorne. As a team, we’re observing the ways inequity is rooted in cultural systems and exploring how we can advocate for change as an organization. As a company, our goal by the end of 2021 is for 30% of our Education Specialists to be BIPOC.Educational OutreachOur team provided educational outreach beyond the workplace.&nbsp;Yoga Ed.’s Education Specialists presented at 3 conferences and workshops in their area of expertise to share yoga & mindfulness with professionals in different industries. In the process, our Ed Specialists taught yoga to provide self-care to professionals who need it the most.CEO Brynne Caleda has provided free professional development for an elementary school in Honolulu, HI.A Tradition of GivingOur company began a new tradition of giving on each other's birthdays in 2020. For an employee’s birthday, the employee chooses an organization they would like to give to, and Yoga Ed. donates $50 to that organization. So far, we’ve donated to The Austin Powwow, Boys and Girls Club of Venice, and She’s The First.Our LeadershipWomen-Led, 100% GrowthA women-led company, Yoga Ed. has increased its gross revenue by 100% and community base by 100% from 2019 to 2020. As we grow, we are ensuring our content, messaging, and facilitation are informed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.&nbsp;Under the Guidance of AdvisoryWe’re excited to work with a new advisory board comprised of highly accomplished and skilled professionals who guide Yoga Ed. on specialized topics within their respective fields. This work is integral to our movement and guides our actions as leaders of influence in the Online Education, Yoga, Parenting, and Mental Health markets.Thank you for being part of our trip around the sun.
