## FAQ
1. **What is the team-based product and everything included with it? I want to understand its value since it will be the revenue generator. My investment depends on that value. Thank you.**
 - Great chatting with you yesterday, as discussed our premium Team Edition is basically a set of features that enable folks in leadership (head of sales, cs, founders, etc) to roll out Fathom to their entire team or org effectively to not only give the gift of Fathom productivity to everyone but also give them tools to see what's happening on their customer calls. Features include: shared calls view, call metrics, playlists of calls/highlights, @mentions, keyword alerts, team-wide CRM integrati...
2. **Hello, your first point under highlights seems to be an amalgamation of various items. Can you elaborate on your 30% month on month growth please? Are you referring to user growth, subscriber growth, revenue growth, etc? And for which period, since launch/2022 ytd, etc? Thank you**
 - Great question! We're referring to usage growth over the last 6 months. You can see the usage graph itself in the Growth section further down in the profile.
3. **Q1) This feature seems core to zoom functionality. What will stop them from building this feature and replacing you completely? Q2) Are you using any NLP / AI feature like GPT-3 to provide auto insights/ tagging of the conversation? I assume some companies are already building...**
 - As one of the top apps on the Zoom Marketplace and a company they've invested in directly, we have a very good and close relationship with Zoom. They want to build a healthy ecosystem of killers apps like ours so I have no concerns about them building or replicating our core functionality (Also, in order to do what we do you need to have Calendar data - we have that, Zoom does not). And yes, we're utilizing various ASR/NLP/AI internally to make Fathom feel as magical as possible. :)
4. **Are you able to share revenue forecasts? Will this work with other platforms such as Teams now or in the future? Can this be patented?**
 - Though nothing prevents us from supporting other platforms, Zoom has such a large share of the market we plan to stay focused on that platform. Software patents are tough for startups to obtain and enforce. We focus on competitive defensibility through our tech and virality. No revenue forecasts are shared publicly at this time.
5. **Are you pre-revenue? At what point do you intend to hit at least $10mn in ARR and when do you intend to become profitable on an EBIT level?**
 - We have started running experiments with monetization in the last few months so we're not exactly pre-revenue any more. But we're not at a point where we can provide those sorts of revenue forecasts. We believe the market size here to be equal to that of Zoom itself. Like most VC funded startups, we're more focused on growth than profitability but on a unit economics level there is room for software sized margins.

## Q&A
- Q: Hi there! A few questions: 1. I see in your financial docs you have listed 'General and Administrative' expenses of $1.7M in 2022. This is a pretty large chunk - is the bulk of this amount salaries? 2. I see your answer about not having a presence on Teams. While Zoom has a good chunk of the market Teams has caught up and certainly is emerging as the dominant player. Does your investment from Zoom come with unspoken terms of not bringing this software to Teams? 3. Has Zoom discussed outright buying you? If you cannot say, would you say that that is the most probably exit outcome? 4. What are you charging for enterprise subscriptions? 5. Do you plan on rolling out a Fremium model for individual users? 6. What is your user acquisition cost? What do you project to do in revenue in the coming years?
 - A: 1. Correct. We're small enough that we have all salaries in G&A - and a majority of those salaries would be R&D. 2. Zoom has put no such restrictions on us. We're exclusive to Zoom because they've been a great partner for us but also because doing a product like this well is hard enough on one platform. The Zoom customer base is large enough on it's own to be a bigger TAM than most other B2B companies :) 3. I don't really believe in having an "exit strategy". I've observed that the best companies simply focus on building amazing products and partnerships at let the rest take care of itself. 4. We're currently experimenting with a per seat model at around $40/user/mo 5. We think keeping Fathom free for individuals is pretty important for our growth. 6. For competitive reasons I won't go into specifics but it's quite low since all growth is marketplace or word of mouth driven (minuscule ad spend) 7. We're too early to provide any sort of revenue guidance but we believe the market opportunity here is equal to that of Zoom itself.
- Q: While WeFunder has a history of not being great for easy updates/investor info - I haven't seen any updates on status and/or growth. Perhaps you could create a listserv or group email for investors to get updates on status, changes, and news - once per quarter would be great but even every 5 or 6 months would be nice to see.
- Q: Hi, I like 2147 other people on this platform invested in Fathom in August 2024, and have never seen an investor update. Why is this, as it's totally unacceptable as an investor to not have heard anything regarding our investments in over 12 months.
- Q: Your product is excellent and has been very helpful to me as a user. I am very satisfied with it. As a potential investor, how does Fathom plan to compete with Zoom and other video platforms that are now incorporating their own AI summaries? What advantage does Fathom offer that would make people prefer to pay for a separate solution when this feature is already included in the premium version of Zoom? Is Fathom in a situation similar to that of Waze, where Google Maps was not as functional as Waze and Google ended up acquiring Waze? In other words, is Fathom facing a similar situation with Zoom? I haven't taken a close look at the AI summaries generated by Zoom, so I don't have a clear opinion on that.
- Q: Hi there! This was my first time investing via WeFunder, I invested in Fathom in a Priced Round on Sep 27, 2024. How am I able to access/check in on the status of my investment? I am not sure where I can go to login to track/find more information about the investment I made. Thank you, Mark
- Q: Question: How do the investment terms for individual investors in Fathom AI’s Series A round compare to those for venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) firms? As Fathom AI opens its Series A round, individual investors are being invited to participate alongside VC and PE firms. It’s crucial to understand how the investment terms for individual investors might differ from those offered to institutional investors. Equity Stake: What percentage of equity will individual investors receive compared to VC and PE firms? Valuation: Are individual investors being offered the same valuation as institutional investors? Rights and Preferences: What rights and preferences (e.g., liquidation preferences, anti-dilution protections) are individual investors entitled to, and how do these compare to the terms offered to VCs and PEs? Investment Minimums: Are there different minimum investment amounts required for individual versus institutional investors? Governance and Influence: What level of influence or involvement will individual investors have compared to VC and PE firms in company decisions?
- Q: Q1) This feature seems core to zoom functionality. What will stop them from building this feature and replacing you completely? Q2) Are you using any NLP / AI feature like GPT-3 to provide auto insights/ tagging of the conversation? I assume some companies are already building on these lines.
 - A: As one of the top apps on the Zoom Marketplace and a company they've invested in directly, we have a very good and close relationship with Zoom. :)
- Q: This is FANTASTIC!!! I am an early investor from your previous raise, and I can't wait to invest AGAIN during this round!!! ......... You guys are doing BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!
 - A: Thank you so much! Excited for you to double down with us :)
- Q: What about Google Meet and other tools, will your app be available outside the zoom marketplace so that it can be used outside of zoom (like Teams or Google meet)? You're too good to be tied down to a single app!
 - A: Haha why thank you! We're certainly looking into support those tools in the future. It wouldn't be a lot of work technically speaking but right now we're focused on being the best product we can be in the (quite large) Zoom TAM before we look into branching out into other ecosystems.
- Q: Haven't heard anything in a while. Can we have an update?
- Q: Great product. Are you going to run another fundraise soon? People are asking!
 - A: Just launched one for our Series A!
- Q: Hi team, can we please get an update on progress and financials? Haven't really heard anything since the round closed. Thanks
 - A: Apologies for that. You should have an update in your inbox.
- Q: Hi guys I am an investor and was wondering if you could email quarterly reports?
 - A: You should have one from this week in your inbox. Lmk if you don't. Thanks!
- Q: Do you fear that the VC world will view your outstanding product as a great feature as opposed to a company with a product that can be monetized? Secondly, has the VC world ever strongly suggested you consider obtaining a Co-Founder?
 - A: Great questions. I've certainly run into some VCs who are convinced that we were building a feature of another product. We don't see it that way, but it's a common objection for any VC, I think. And no, no one has pushed me to find a co-founder. I think VCs have learned that pushing co-founders on things already up and running well is counterproductive.
- Q: I love this idea, but HATE Zoom. Are there any initiatives to kick this intelligence into other collaborative workspaces?
 - A: On the roadmap but for now we're focused on Zoom as it's one of the largest markets.
