‹‹The Problem:Latinos are the fastest-growing minority group in the U.S. (65 million in 2025 with $3.4 trillion in purchasing power). With this skyrocketing growth, however, comes the loss of culture, language, and connection to their homeland heritage. Latino kids often can't speak to their grandparents in Spanish, and families mourn losing their sense of identity, heritage and community.Here's where we come in!The Solution:Familia Kitchen is an online Latino food community with 100K+ monthly users. Our mission and purpose is to help Latino families and everyone who loves our food and culinary traditions collect, preserve and pass on beloved family recipes from 20 Spanish-speaking countries at their most authentic.With our fast-growing newsletters, advertising/partnership sales, and audience numbers, we've proved there’s a deep hunger for authentic Latino recipes, storytelling and heritage preservation — with little outside investment.Now we're ready to tap the power of AI to scale from a Latino cooking community publishing platform to a Latino cooking community tech platform. To do this, we need your support.WE ARE RAISING $500K to develop 3 AI -Powered Tools to Archive & Share Latino Food HeritageThese 3 AI-driven tech features will allow our audience to:1) Scan and Translate Handwritten Recipes for PosterityDo you have a box filled with precious handwritten or old typed recipe cards from your abuela and other relatives? Us too. Familia Kitchen is working to develop and launch an AI-driven language recognition tool where users can seamlessly scan, translate (English/Spanish), format, archive and share their old, essential abuela-cooking recipes with family and friends. Think Ancestry.com, but for Latino food heritage, at scale.2) Produce Custom Videos at Scale of Your Abuela Talking About Family Recipes Do you have beloved family recipes that only exist in your abuela's or other relatives' memories? Don't let these essential dishes get lost to time. Familia Kitchen will develop and offer a personalized video product in which we tap AI custom-produce an original 1-3 minute custom video of a user's real abuela or great-cook family member describing how to make a special family recipe. Users upload typed recipes and family photos into our tool. We conduct a live interview with the abuela, recording their image and voice telling stories about this recipe. Using AI auto-generated tools built into our website, we then create step-by-step cooking highlights using AI-generated images. The final beautiful image product is quality checked by our team, stored on our site, and shared with the user. Creating user recipes at scale will create a video archival record that ensures they never lose their family's defining dishes and food memories. Users can easily pass them on to their grandkids — and ensure their family heritage is preserved forever.3) Create and Print Custom Family Cookbooks with Family Recipes and PhotosOnce users have their family recipes and photos AI-scanned in their Familia Kitchen MyRecetario recipe box, don't they want to share them in a beautifully designed way with friends and family?
