It gives patients timely access to innovative treatments that are highly vetted for safety and effectiveness. And often, it offers hope where there is none.At Eliaz Therapeutics, achieving this milestone represents decades of intensive research coming to fruition. But for our supporters and investors, it represents a tremendous opportunity to help address one of medicine’s most urgent challenges. For over three decades, I've dedicated my life to innovating healthcare solutions that alleviate human suffering. This journey led me to develop Pectosol, a natural Galectin-3 blocker backed by nearly 100 research papers, and build a community of over 300,000 health enthusiasts through my integrative medicine work. The tragic loss of my father to immune dysregulation underlying sepsis ignited a personal mission to combat inflammatory conditions. This led to the creation of XGal-3®, a groundbreaking device designed to halt sepsis progression by targeting Galectin-3, a protein driving the deadly inflammatory process. Our patented technology, supported by 2 prestigious NIH grants and protected by over 60 patents across 34 countries, has the potential to stop sepsis within hours. With our world-class team, we've developed a working prototype and are rapidly advancing towards clinical trials.Back in 2023, ecoNugenics, my previous venture, was successfully acquired by a prestigious private equity company, demonstrating our team's ability to create and realize the value in the healthcare sector. Now, as an investor in Eliaz Therapeutics, you have the opportunity to support a movement—one with the potential to save millions of lives across the world.I sincerely hope you join us in the fight against sepsis.Invest in Eliaz Therapeutics today!Sepsis is a Silent Killer That Claims 11 Million Lives AnnuallySepsis strikes without warning, claiming a life every 2.8 seconds. Despite its devastating impact, it remains largely overlooked in public health discussions. This silent killer turns routine infections into catastrophic bodily responses, leading to rapid organ failure and death.Throughout my career, I've witnessed sepsis devastate countless patients and families. This deadly condition imposes a staggering $62 billion annual burden on the U.S. healthcare system. Current treatments only manage symptoms, neglecting the root cause of sepsis. There is no effective therapy targeting the underlying inflammatory process. Our groundbreaking research at Eliaz Therapeutics aims to change this paradigm, offering hope where none existed before.WHEN GOOD PROTEINS GO ROGUEGalectin-3 is a key driver of sepsis when released into the bloodstream. ## FAQ
1. **What do I get if I invest? Is it a stock or share?**
   - Hi Robert, When you invest in Eliaz Therapeutics via our Wefunder campaign, you receive a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE). This isn’t a traditional stock or share immediately, but rather a contractual agreement that converts into equity (ownership in the company) during a future fundraising round, such as our upcoming Series A. The benefit of investing in our SAFE now is that if it converts into equity into the future, this will be at the SAFE's valuation cap rather than the valuati...
2. **I completed the investment form as an email option and was given a strong password to continue but after I completed everything the system said it could not accept my investment from my location. Is this investment opportunity only available in the USA? I am a Canadian resident.**
   - Hi Candace, thank you for your interest in ETI. Certain provinces in Canada can't participate in crowdfunding, at least through WEFunder. There may be alternate ways to do it. What amount were you looking at investing? with gratitude, Isaac
3. **The entity making the investment is a Family Trust. It does not have an EIN. Should I use a social security number**
   - Hi, I think that SS# is fine , but to make sure I am checking with WeFunder and will get back to you ASAP. Thank you for your support and trust in us. all the best, Isaac
4. **I appreciate that you're submitting your Breakthough Designation Application for the FDA that will fast track some of the process, but what's the regulatory path forward and an anticipated timeline for getting this to patients?**
   - Thank you, Jason, for your question. We are currently engaged in non GLP and GLP large animal safety studies, while finalizing the column prototype. The anticipated timeline is to file for XGAL-3 clinical trials approval mid 2025 and start the XGAL-3 therapeutic trials early 2026, possibly late 2025. We are already in discussions with a number of excellent medical centers in the USA and outside the USA that are interested in participating. We are also planning to conduct pre-therapeutic diagn...
5. **how is this different / compared to current available solution like Oxiris , we know is holt the process , it might improve the patient temporarily but wont change the outcome of sepsis ...**
   - XGAL-3 is fundamentally different than Oxiris. OXiris is a blood filtration system used in conjunction with hemodialysis. It is used at a much later stage in the sepsis process, when the patient already has kidney damage/failure that required dialysis in the ICU. It requires high blood flow of 150-200ml/minute. The 90 days outcome of a meta analysis study from 2023 showed that 90-day mortality, ICU and hospital mortality, and length of hospital stay did not improve. XGAL-3 is a highly selecti...

## Q&A
- Q: how is this different / compared to current available solution like Oxiris , we know is holt the process , it might improve the patient temporarily but wont change the outcome of sepsis ...
  - A: XGAL-3 is fundamentally different than Oxiris. XGAL-3 is a highly selective therapeutic apheresis filter. It can be used on all patients and at much lower blood flow rates. It can and will be used , starting on day of admission to the ICU and can be repeated as needed. Our small animal and large animal (LPS induced porcine sepsis model) sepsis trials that will be published soon show a significant improvement of the sepsis process with positive effects on the damaging mechanism of action in sepsis, multi-organ damage, and mortality. Our IP will also allow us to combine the XGAL-3 with other therapies that are indicated. I hope that this is helpful. Thank you for your interest in our work, Isaac
- Q: Why cant we see how many have invested? Inspires a lot of people to invest more.
  - A: Greetings, thanks for the question. You actually can see how many invested. If you go to our main landing page and hover over the 'i' icon next to the total amount raised, you can see how many total investors there are. Thanks, Bryan
- Q: Maybe theres some overlap between bacteria in abscesses and sepsis. Maybe you also can make an product for abscesses out of this. Inject something into abscesses befor you have to do it more invasively and cut it open which is very often the end result. Sometimes sepsis is the result of abscesses. Abscesses are very prevalenent in transplant patients in which immune system are suppressed with medication. Also in illegal drug ijnectors, substance abusers. Or maybe a sort of cream can be made. As I see it this XGal has potentially far wider potential.
  - A: Hello Thomas, Thanks for your comment. We agree that Galectin-3 plays a role in a wide range of biological processes and disease areas beyond our current focus. While our primary goal is to treat critically ill patients with sepsis and acute kidney injury in the ICU, we’re very aware of the broader potential this platform could have in other indications over time. We’re excited by the possibilities and always appreciate thoughtful engagement like yours. If you believe in the vision and want to help accelerate the work, we’d love to have your support as an investor. If you have more in-depth or speculative questions about additional applications, it may probably be best to continue the conversation off-platform. Please reach out directly to me at bryan@eliaztherapeutics.com. Best regards, Bryan Knipe Eliaz Therapeutics
- Q: Why are you closing in 5d if goal is 5M?
  - A: Hi Thomas, Great question.! We are not closing our Wefunder campaign. It is a technicality that is based on the initial campaign closing date and the fact that we oversubscribed. We already have another 12 months extension, so we aer not closing the campaign! And once our audited financials are done (10-14 days), we will formally take in the oversubscribed funds and actively pursue our new goal - $5M.
- Q: Maybe then it can be used in senescence as anti-aging therapy? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37208177/
  - A: The answer is yes, This is why it's a platform technology. But the initial focus in on sepsis.
- Q: Does it exists various types of sepsis? If so does this addresses more then one or all? Some organ transplant survivors gets sepsis few days or week after transplantation? Will this help that patient group?
  - A: Thank you Thomas for your excellent question. XGAL-3 addresses the immune and inflammatory dysregulation underlying the sepsis process. This process is almost universal in sepsis. I plan to discuss the scientific basis of XGAL-3 in greater detail in an upcoming webinar. Thank you for your interest in XGAL-3, Isaac
- Q: Hi, do you have a link to an fda webpage or can post the letter from the fda so that the breakthrough designation can be verified
  - A: Hi Noah, Thank you for your question. The FDA formal approval notice includes confidential information. We are reviewing the letter to see what needs to be removed due to confidentiality, and will post the letter without the confidential information soon. I hope that this helps. all the best, Isaac
- Q: I live in Ontario, Canada, have US citizenship by birth, and acquired citizenship in Canada in addition. I tried to open an account with Wefunder. I entered my name, residency and SSN. The next page said something is wrong. I then entered my SIN, the Canadian tax number. The next page again said something is wrong. I am not a US resident. The only thing I can think of that might be wrong is that residents of Ontario and Quebec are by law not allowed to participate in some investments before a company issues stock. Is that what prevented me from being able to use Wefunder? If so, is there any way to get around this blocking? I have siblings in the Carolinas. My children all live in Ontario and Quebec.
  - A: Hi Nancy, thank you for your interest in ETI. You are correct that residents of Ontario and Quebec are not allowed to invest in USA based crowd funding platforms. I will ask the Wefunder team to check if there is a solution. I will also ask Bryan Knype, our director of investor relationships to reach out to you. With gratitude, Isaac
  - A: Hello Nancy - What Dr. Eliaz mentions is correct. The Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec are currently barred from investing on the Wefunder platform at the requests of the governments there. If you send me an email, I can see what I can do to help: Bryan@eliaztherapeutics.com Thanks, Bryan
- Q: I work in a headcase medical named the Bermuda Hospitals Board in the country of Bermuda
  - A: Thank you George. With your permission, we will reach out to you with support when needed.
- Q: Back in April it was said that you had a 1 year extension. I would like to invest, however, there is no option on you page to do so. Is there another way? Or did the extension not get approved? If so, why? Thank you.
  - A: Hello Rebecca - Yes, you can still invest. Please send me an email: Bryan@eliaztherapeutics.com . Happy to send you the information on how to do that. Thanks, Bryan
- Q: Hope you can add at your website possibility to sign up for newsletter.
- Q: when do you expect this product to be approved and be put into medical use? When should I expect to receive a 1099 or k-1 each year for tax reporting purposes. I would hate to have to file an extension on my tax return waiting for these tax documents each year. Thanks
  - A: Hi Cathy, Thank you for your question. It will be 3 years before any revenues will be generated. I am not an expert in taxation, but I don't think that this will be a K-1. Than you for your interest in ETI. All the best, Isaac
- Q: One of my close relatives passed away last year in india due to sephis. That was the first time I heard about Sephis. The doctors said it is very strong kind of infections. They started giving heavy doses of anti boitic which initially helped but later Sephis resited all these anti biotics. Is there no cure for sephis at present.
  - A: Dear Harish, I am sorry to hear about your close relative. Currently there is no approved treatment for sepsis. Only supportive care and antimicrobial treatment for the infection source. Sepsis is no longer defined as an infection. It's the body's immune and inflammatory dysregulated response to infection. XGAL-3 aims to address this devastating process and stop it. This is what we observed happening in our porcine LPS induced sepsis studies.
- Q: Do you know about LSN: https://www.lifesciencenation.com/workshops/
- Q: Hello DR. IE Thanks for the prompt replies. Any idea when a revenue stream will start ? the burn rate is high, any details ? How much runway do you have left with current funding ?
  - A: Dear Silvr, please reach out to Bryan Knipe, our director of investors relationships at bryan@eliaztherapeutics.com . All the best, Isaac
