## Story
Why Dorado?Dorado is a full-size electric dirt bike company built by riders, for riders. Born from deep roots in the off-road world, we've designed a rugged, long-range machine that’s built to endure anything, without the premium price tag.Until now, no electric brand has truly matched the performance and capability of gas-powered dirt bikes in size, durability, and range. Dorado is here to change that narrative.Backed by a hands-on team and real-world testing, we’re filling a major gap in the E-Moto market. This fundraise powers our move into mass production, bringing a trail-proven, rider-built bike to those who need range, reliability, and performance.Dorado is built by real riders who know what the community needs, because we’re part of it. We design and build our bikes in the U.S., combining high performance with durability and a swappable battery system built for long days on the trail. What started in a backyard shed has grown into a brand with a loyal and growing following. Riders support Dorado because they see the difference: real people, real testing, and a bike built to ride hard and go further. All investors will receive an invitation to a party at the Dorado ranch. Riding, food, and campout. Our StoryIn late 2023, we converted a 1975 Kawasaki Trail Boss 100 to electric and rode it around our hometown. The ride was quiet, smooth, and unlike anything we’d experienced, and the response from people on the street was just as powerful. The interest was immediate and undeniable. We were hooked, and we knew we were onto something bigger. So we got to work, designing a CAD prototype and spending the next six months building it by hand in a 10x12 shed in Nick’s backyard. Nearly every part was made from scratch. We bent, notched, and welded the frame tubes, spot-welded the battery cells, and even vacuum-formed our own plastics.By July 2024, the prototype was ready to ride. We pushed it to the limit and brought it to the riding community for feedback. The response was clear, and so was the path forward. We went all-in on building the next production batch. From October 2024 to March 2025, we dedicated our lives to building a batch of pre-production models (V2). To do so, we took the leap, quit our jobs, and raised $95k to make it happen. We ate a lot of rice and beans. The result? A far more refined bike than we imagined. And the log in the photo above? It’s a real part of the V2 story. When it came time to make our plastics, along with most of the bike's components, we decided to make them ourselves, starting with a tree on the property. We cut it down, brought it to the neighbor’s mill, sliced it into slabs, then blocks, and used our CNC machine to carve the molds. From those, we vacuum-formed the plastics. That log is from that very tree, a reminder of the resourceful, hands-on mindset that drives everything we do at Dorado. It’s just one example of how we stay connected to the process, from the ground up.The MarketThis is the global dirt bike market size prediction. The dirt bike industry is on the verge of massive growth, set to double from $9B to $18B annually over the next 10 years, with unit sales rising from 1 million to 2 million. At the same time, electric models are rapidly gaining ground, projected to jump from just 4% to 30% of the market, an 8x increase. The powersports industry is rapidly evolving, fueled primarily by the rise of electric bikes. Sales of electric models are accelerating faster than traditional gas-powered bikes, opening the door for innovative brands to capture market share while established companies stick to their legacy products. Advances in electric technology have delivered notable improvements in performance, reliability, and ride quality. This shift makes it easier for beginners to get started and allows seasoned riders to spend more time riding and less time maintaining their machines. Here To Fill The VoidThe electric dirt bike segment is primed for innovation, and Dorado is ready to set the new standard. Offering top-tier quality and power while undercutting competitors on price, we deliver exceptional value without compromise. Our swappable battery system extends ride time and keeps riders on the trail longer, setting us apart in range and convenience. As a proud US-based company deeply connected to the riding community, Dorado is more than a bike, it’s a promise of performance, innovation, and reliability built right here at home. The comments above are just some of the many directed toward Stark Future and Surron. In just 48 hours, we sold out our private pre-order launch, driven by real feedback, research, and firsthand experience. Now, we're gearing up to launch public pre-orders through our website and social channels, bringing Dorado to a wider audience of riders ready for something better.Dorado delivers instant torque and a clutchless design, making every ride both powerful and controllable. With the largest swappable battery in its class, it offers gas-bike-level range without the hassle. Paired with premium KYB suspension, Dorado handles all terrain with smooth, confident control. For whatever type of riding it is, we see you.We identify three main user groups:Dirt Bike/Powersport Enthusiasts. For riders already on gas dirt bikes or other powersports, Dorado is the perfect way into electric. It’s the first accessible bike to match gas performance in size, range, and ride feel, making it a natural addition to any lineup.E-Moto users. Whether upgrading from a Surron or looking for better range and value than a Stark, Dorado delivers. And with more riders under 20 twisting throttles on e-bikes than ever before, we believe this next generation will grow into full-size electric dirt bikes like Dorado as their skills and appetite for this feeling continues.Utility Workers. From forest service teams to private trail crews, many professionals rely on dirt bikes for tough jobs. Until now, nothing electric has met their needs. Dorado’s build quality, long-range swappable battery, high weight capacity, and tool rack compatibility make it the ultimate electric workhorse. Validated by the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship. We've built strong relationships with complementary brands like Mosko Moto, Roark, and WLF Enduro to boost awareness and grow our following. These partnerships have helped position Dorado within the core riding community. We also lend bikes to trusted moto influencers, like Onelostmoto, to get real riders on the bike and spread the word authentically. We actively throw and attend events to build awareness and momentum around Dorado. On April 5th, we hosted our launch party at Roark in Berkeley, with an unexpectedly large turnout that showed just how strong and engaged our community already is. We also race our bikes in enduro events, using them as both testing grounds and real-world promotion.Coming up, we’ve got two events where we’d love to see you: the Downieville Classic from August 7–10 in Downieville, and the Electrify Expo in San Francisco, August 23–24. Come hang out, and see what Dorado is all about.Production + SalesDorado’s operating strategy is built around using a majority of U.S.-based suppliers with approved safety regulations, allowing us to maintain tight quality control, shorten lead times, and support domestic manufacturing. Unlike models that rely heavily on overseas sourcing, our approach minimizes the risks of shipping delays, inconsistent quality, and tariff fluctuations.Final assembly, testing, fulfillment, and service will all be handled in-house at our own dedicated facility, giving us full control over the process and ensuring every Dorado bike meets the highest standards before it hits the trail. At Dorado, we’re taking a fresh approach to distribution. While direct-to-consumer offers flexibility and reach, we know riders also value the ability to test, service, and connect in person. That’s why we’re building a hybrid model, offering online sales with delivery, alongside a network of trusted local partners for demos and support.By combining DTC convenience with the hands-on benefits of dealerships, we’re creating the best possible customer experience, whether a rider wants to click “buy” or swing a leg over the bike before deciding. This blended model helps us manage costs, maintain healthy margins, and reduce dependency on heavy ad spend by leaning into our brand strength and organic community. The RaiseOur Pre-Seed round will provide the critical capital needed to move Dorado from early traction to scaled execution. With this funding, we’ll complete final design and engineering, ramp up production, and begin delivering on our growing list of pre-orders. It will also enable us to expand the capabilities of our in-house assembly and testing facility, giving us greater control over quality and lead times. In addition, the round will support key hires, continued development of our hybrid sales strategy, and targeted brand growth initiatives. This positions us to hit important milestones ahead of our next raise, while establishing Dorado as the leading American-built electric dirt bike brand, known for performance, durability, and rider-first design.More than anything, we want the people who know us, support us, and believe in what we’re building to have a chance to win alongside us. That’s why we’re partnering with Wefunder, to open the door for our community to invest and be part of Dorado’s journey. The TeamOur founding team brings a strong blend of technical expertise, real-world experience, and deep industry insight. With backgrounds in engineering, mechanics, and economics, our founders are lifelong builders and innovators with a passion for bringing high-impact products to market. As dedicated riders themselves, they have a firsthand understanding of what today’s powersports community truly needs—and the skills to design, build, and deliver it. This combination of grit, technical know-how, and market awareness is the foundation of Dorado.
